Anahuac wins 56-50

Anahuac is capable of making the playoffs in this district. Predistrict schedule doesn't determine who makes the playoffs or how good a team is once district play begins. Great job tonight Panthers and keep getting better every week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taylor will be the best bet as far as continuing the tradition and structure that is already in place in Anahuac. Hopefully he gets his shot.

No matter who is at the helm in Winnie, EC is going to be tough and physical. Anahuac has dealt with injuries all season. Both teams have respect and want to do their talking on the field. These towns are so close that most fans do their talking during the work week. With that being said I believe this is the year that Anahuac gets a win.

Best way I have ever heard it put is by "Uncle" Joe Evans. He never measured his success during a school year but ten years after the athlete graduated. If they were healthy, moral, and leading overall productive lives and helping others he felt like he had been a success. Pretty good way to measure I'd say.

After last year Anahuac is the underdog in this matchup.

last I heard 5:00 left in fourth.  Ap down by 10 shooting freethrows.  NW best player just fouled out.

the only quarter that woodville didn't play flat was the first quarter against anahuac.  After the first they were outscored every quarter.

Saw Anahuac play for the first time the other night against the prep school.  They didn't look as athletic as everyone on hear says.  IMO if they always play as flat as they did in their first playoff game it will be a long night for the panthers.  Hopefully, they were so unaggressive only because the prep school wasn't very athletic.  Maybe they will prove me wrong, but if that's all Anahuac has to offer I say Eagles SOAR!

Need one game for Anahuac's 8th grade on September the 8th.

The entire starting line of the graduating class of 01 from Hemphill.  All of them went to college.  Four of them went division one.  The best of them was Big Ben Wilkerson, that played for LSU then went to I believe the chargers and is now in Atlanta.

I saw LH play this year during the Hurricane vs. Brown oak.  Also a nail biter game that ended with a 56-49 win in overtime.  LH had a hard time stopping the passing game and it lead to a lot of points being scored by both teams because stopping Liberty Hill's running game looks to be almost impossible.  If they do meet up get ready for a track meet with a basketball score at the end of the game.  Good Luck WOS.  Hope I get to see this matchup.

Bo is a great kid and a heck of a back.  Got to watch him play once this year already.  His father is an amazing guy as well and one of the best coaches I have ever known.

Anahuac's seventh and eighth grade teams went undefeated last year and look even more improved than last year already..Will be fun to see how it turns out for them!!  ;D
