So I have a feeling, maybe a fever. But I feel the only solution to this amount of NDN disrespect is more COWBELL! Cougars will walk into Stallworth after getting embarrassed by New Caney with a fire in their belly. The defense will come to play realizing they cannot just rely on the offense to make the game easy for them. The Cougars will make some early stops and will coast to a multiple TD victory. Final score 63 - 49 Cougars up by 2 TD's most the way but PNG will never give up.

NC has executed extremely well all game. Won like 2 50/50 balls. And their Dline is eating our oline alive right now. Cougars were passive early on but then tried to turn it on late and figured out that these Eagles are pretty good. The way we are executing right now we’d get beat by Caney Creek.

Unless we go find some more prepared (mentally kids.) in the next 30 minutes this is going to be a BAD beatdown.

In 2017 I think we have a better offense because we have been more balanced, less turnover prone, and more efficient at scoring Touchdowns. 2013 2017 PASS YARD/TD Ratio 90.97 101.78 RUSH YARD/TD Ratio 91.85 64.15 PASS YARD.INT Ratio 363.88 585.25 Rush % 61.44% 56.57% Pass % 38.56% 43.43% YPC 16.83 16.3 TOTAL YARD/TD Ratio 91.49 77.89 The passing efficiency in 2013 was marginally better than in 2017 but we have been substantially more efficient in 2017 overall and rushing the football. I don't think a good argument can be made that 2013 is a better offense than 2017 largely due to 2013's overreliance on the run and lack of efficient scoring. I think the numbers bear out that we have been extremely efficient in scoring and have maintained a much better run/pass balance which makes the current team harder to gameplan for and overall better. EDIT beyond this point: Given we do not have good Defensive/Special Teams Stats yard efficiency seems to be the closest rating we can get to understanding the total teams make up. A Good defense gives you good field position, a good special teams unit gives you good field position and thus allows your offense to be more efficient. The Total Yards per TD shows me that Crosby gets the ball in good field position and scores often.

If we get the PNG v. Crosby game I feel we should call it Bedlam, because it would be absolute Bedlam that the best two teams from 21 and 22 5a play each other in the first round.

Nederland Kicks the ball on a squib but too hard picked up by PNG and PNG returns the ball all the way to the 2 yard line but a penalty flag has been thrown. A Late hit out of bounds! PNG lines up with a power QB run and gets stuffed on the half-inch mark! Nederland wins, Nederland wins, Nederland wins! Sorry wrote my Saturday mourning press release instead of the headline.

(That's how 21-5a works.) #1 DIV2 Seed up for Grabs if Kingwood Park makes the playoffs. Crosby Outright Champs and DIV2 #1 with a win. Both teams will be #1 seeds if BH makes playoffs. NC being #1 seed in DIV1, Crosby in DIV2.

Conversely what if we get to half its a good game but we look over and BH is beating Porter by 28 and we go well now this game doesn't matter at all.

I think Crosby and PNG are extremely similar teams. Both lack defensive consistency but make some big plays. Both have extremely good offenses (Statistically Crosby is a bit better than PNG on offense.) I think if PNG and Crosby played tomorrow I'd set a line at Crosby +3 on a neutral field. (My homer says we'd win by 10 but I think 3 would be a betting line.)
