FB or The other Marshall?

Only edit I'd make is Liberty Hill does not look nearly as stacked this year as last. Not sure we would even see them if we can get past that extremely good FB Marshall team again.

If that happens might as well just call Carthage the 2021-22 state champions. 0 scrimmages, practices affected by COVID and they still hold a high powered 5AD2 offense to 14? Add to it scoring 35 on a team anchored by 5AD2 All state D-tackle. Could happen but that would be far more impressive than a shootout that this could be.

I doubt it. Has to be a guy or two that came home from Korea and left base to explicitly go to a football game. Think that's why title says driven.

So I think Crosby should likely be favored versus Carthage which is kind of amazing for me to say. Underdog versus Manvel But that PAM game I think that's the real Litmus test. What do we look like right before district play, against a good higher classification team. Then obviously the BH game 2 weeks later.

When Crosby went 4 deep and lost to Cedar Park @ UT they had the exact same problem. It’s a nice one to have.

We had busted coverages to start last season too. Then by end of year might have had the best defensive backs core in the state(minus Aledo)

I wonder how much attention Casey is going to demand in that middle this year. If he's clogging up that center we have a good shot of having a very good defense.

Way to go out a limb there. Crosby won't beat 4 top 7 teams on the way to a state title appearance? Wow what a reach and risk you're taking!

We find out a lot once school actually starts.

I'll say this about BH and Crosby absolutely no easy games to start the year. Then both get one district game they both expect to win then bam each other. A lot will be learned by week 6.

He also has another year to get bigger. Maybe a bit more weight and they might see him as a DLinemen in a 4-3

McCoy Casey has to be getting some offers you'd think.

Aledo destroys anyone coming out of R3 last year. The only ones who would have had a chance would have been Marshall but they self imploded against Crosby and didn't earn the shot. Marshall's Wide receiver combo would have caused problems for the defense if Aledo tried to play them straight up, thus rolling coverages would have likely given more shots to FBM as they seemed to be a better passing team this year.

I don't think Crosby will start as the favorite. Fort Bend Marshall Huntsville Crosby Would be my order.
