  2. just because alot of our good players graduated. we will still do great. we got alot of new players. we have a great coach that loves the game. sorry your jealous were finally starting to beat good teams. dont under estimate the L-train. we might be little and white. but we sure do turn some heads. Sorry to say it but you'll havent shown the ability to beat a good team so far this year. ok lets just see how this game ends. than come talk Believe me win or lose I'll be on here tonight or tomorow. Which is more than can be said for most of you'll. yeah were sad we lost. who wouldnt be? we said vidor won. we had good sportsmanship but now were getting pissed cause yall wont shut yalls mouth. we play with pride all the time. just be prepared l-train is coming back on the tracks Kinda tough when you get some of your own medicine. You will here about this win until next year if you dont like it leave like the rest of the L-Town posters did. i aint leaving i stick behind my raiders. i know we bragged when we went to playoffs. but come on. its been a long time since weve been to play offs. we were just a little excited. sorry for the past. but this is a new year and a new team. nobody can predict who wins or whos good yet. its a little to early. best of luck vidor. yall did to great in the secound half. ( but we did great in the first) And it was 41 years in the making. It was a great accomplishment for The Raiders. Good luck with Central it will be 1 heck of a game tonight. Hopefully we can take the fight to Ozen tonight and keep up the momentum. Here is a link to Lumberton High History by WOS87 Lumberton Complete History By WOS87
  3. Better watch the LB from Central #44 he is a wildman and he times the snap almost perfect... and his transmission is in high gear all night. I will say this... When #24 and #44 have a head on there will be sparks flying... both young men play hard and with their hearts. The same can be said on the other side as well with #9 and #49. I have had the pleasure of watching all 4 of these young men play against my Pirates and they have heart and desire. #44 Jacoby Hale - LB - 6' 190 lbs Sr #24 Justin Labove - DB - 5'7" 155 lbs Sr #9 Charles Thomas - S/RB - 6'2" 195 lbs Sr 3 year lettermen. Verbal commit to Texas A&M You must mean #19 David Mayfield. We don't have a #49. LB 5'10" - 200 lbs Sr. 3 Year Lettermen Actually I was talking about RB vs LB Centrals #9 Mr Thomas Vs #49 Lumberton LB and Lumbertons #24 Mr. Hanna Vs Central #44 Mr. Hale. Both of these LB's and RB's play hard going to be some interesting games tonight.

  6. Hmm figured there might be some more chat about this one.......

  9. The thumb and forefinger worked quite well also!!!! You could even blow smoke from the forefinger!!!!! And best thing was it was with you all the time.... never needed reloading.... and was spot on bulls eye with every shot!

  11. Congratulations to all 4 young men. The 3 RB's will probably be fighting for League rushing champ this season. I count 5 young men. Just an observation. ;D hahah my bad I missed Mr. James from Silsbee. My Apologies. Congrats to all 5 young men :-D

  14. Safari Hunt not called off in time: Lions, Bears and Panthers slaughtered. Federal investigation into 2 train derailments within a week of each other in southeast Texas. Levee breaks, North Shore surge to much.
  15. Vidor 3-1 (1-1): O: The line is big, mean and agile. The backs don't have blazing speed, but hit the holes hard and are downhill runners. Need to keep the ball off the ground. Passing game is getting better, just needs a bit more tweaking. Less fumbling, I would give an 8, until then 6. Def: Hard hitting, decent size and flies to the football. Have a lot of heart! 8 Team as a whole: Their never say die gives them an edge, they don't seem to do the hill and valley emotion that a lot of other teams I have seen in the past have had. They play with a lot of pride. I believe "tough as a 2 dollar steak" described it the best.
  16. Because he runs lazy butt routes...... Ozen needs to run, and run, and run this week to work on conditioning. That and tackling drills.... tackling drills would definitely be beneficial to ozen We could use some of them also... we had a heck of a time wrapping up "The Truck" last week, and against Central also... Need to quit going for the highlight hit and wrap em up and wait for help..... team tackling will be the only way to keep Ozen in front of us... too many missed one on ones and this one could get ugly for us fast... Also some double sided tape in the RB's palms wouldn't be a bad idea...
  17. I don't have a dog, wildcat, or eagle in this race but from Coach Barbay's history even though his Eagles are "struggling" out of the gate by the time week 10 gets here they will be moving like a well oiled machine.... No pick just my thoughts.
  18. I believe that win loose or draw, this game will help get some normalcy back in High Island. I wish both teams the best, and to the citizens of High Island and beach area my prayers go out to you. Good luck High Island.
  19. yea no joke!!! I'm waitin on my apology from its all about the u, because i told him vidor would run all over them and he said he would admit it if they did, so I'm waitin its all about the u :-) Vidor is a good team not sure if they are a playoff team. As far as running all over Lumberton, what game did you watch? Lumberton handled the Pirates in the first half. Lumberton comes out in the second half the at least three of their best players on the sidelines to various reasons. Vidor scored only when Beard was out of the game (all of the 3Q and most of the 4th). I will be convinced Vidor is good playoff team when they go thru mid-county with some wins! For 1 thing Vidor shot itself in the foot in the first half... if you were at the game then you remember Vidor fumbling on Lumberton's 8 the score at that time was 3-0... Lumberton came out physical on first drive ( ask #23 ) but only came up with a field goal.... Your kicker does have an awesome leg. I can not say that Lumberton dominated Vidor in the first half. As far as the 3 players on the sidelines it must of been the hard hitting that Vidor was dishing out in the first half.... and continued with in the 2nd half... Why was Beard out "(all of the 3Q and most of the 4th)."? Did he have homework to do? Have a migraine? or was it that he was getting the stuffing knocked out of him by the Vidor O Line? And if your whole defense hinges on the play of 3 men, then Lumberton has bigger problems then your acknowledging. I do hope that Coach C can get Mr. Hanna and his temper under control because that is 1 heck of a RB!! First of all, I would like to say congrats to the Vidor football team and the Vidor coaches for a well deserved win. They earned it as much as I hate to say it. The Raiders were pretty much handling them in the first half but Vidor came out in the second half and played with a lot of intensity & physicality and the Raiders didn't seem to be up for the challenge to finish out what they had started. Once Vidor got the momentum at home it went down hill fast. I will say this though...I do still believe that the Raiders have the better team. Vidor won fair & square and I'm not going to make any excuses for why Lumberton lost. Vidor was the better team Sat. night. They wanted it more. But I still think Lumberton is a better overall football team. If they played 10 times, I think Lumberton would win more. Second...notice I said congrats to the Vidor FOOTBALL TEAM & Vidor COACHES... I do not owe anyone any apologies as I gave my opinion on the game and whether it ended up being right or wrong, I owe no one apologies. All that matters is that I give the Pirates props for winning the game. I will admit that I said I didn't think Vidor would win by 2-3 td's. They ended up winning by 2 so I'll admit that they proved me wrong on that. However, I never said Vidor couldn't or wouldn't win the game. I never gave a prediction if U go back and look at my posts. I said I thought Lumberton was the better team before the game and I still stand by that. I'm not going to go into the rushing yards because Vidor racked up many of those with a major piece of the Raider D out for a long time...so I' m not even going to go there. Coach cHomeaux, I can assure U that the player you're referring to did not get the stuffing knocked out of him. As a matter of fact he was doing the knocking. I'm sure if U were watching the game closely U would have seen him decleating an individual close to the Vidor side as he was blocking during one of the Raider td runs that was called back before half-time. The reason he was out had nothing to do with anyone on the Vidor side. I can assure U that. Cramps! I'm sure it is easy for U to sit behind your computer screen and run your mouth about certain HS players whenever U don't have to say it to their face. I'm sure your tone would be different if you weren't hiding behind your pc...Coach! Not very professional behavior if you're really a coach. All I can say is you see it your way and I see it my way. I do not know why you take this as a personal attack. I complimented the team, Coach C and Mr. Hanna. and you say I am running my mouth?? I guess your right. I was seen Hanna run over 1 of our players and he was out til after half time... as I have said before and probably will say it again that man runs like a truck... but I am just running my mouth again so I will leave it alone. Have a nice day U.
