  2. You are correct about Central Mrs. Penny, and under Centrals new OC Coach Watters I think they are starting to get well oiled on the other side of the ball also. Not saying they are State Champions, just that they could give some teams heck with 3 more weeks of work....
  3. AMEN.... How bout Coach Long?? I think that would be a great fit in LC-M....
  4. "hang with em for at least a lil while" Like maybe the national anthem and the coin toss ? hahaha more like the National Anthem ... they will probably loose the coin toss too..... ;D
  5. heheh no but if you will PM your cell # I will keep you updated on the NED/VID game if you will keep me updated on the Liv/Cen game ;D I can give you LCM - Lumberton updates (LOL) Uhh... no thank you. I think that Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder can see the outcome of this one. ;D ;D I think Helen Keller and Ronnie Milsap might want to take a shot at this one also.
  6. Sorry to have to correct you but we have won 30 consecutive district games dating back to 2003.... 2nd longest streak in 3A only behind Gilmer and one of the top 10 longest in the state among all classifications hahahah Ole WOS87 and his dang stats.... ;D
  7. What is going to be real funny is when the Head Coach owns up to it, trying to fire his team up for the Carthage game.....
  8. It's a tradition thing, if Nederland or PNG start district with wins, they are practically crowned champion even if their first games are against the weaker district teams, Central is almost to that point too. Whereas, the rest of us pretty much have to win out the entire season before we are considered champs. It's just how it is... Its good that only you feel that that we have 'tradition'. You like it, I love it. : : Of course you guys have tradition, going all the way back to the buffs, unlike the poser Beaumont team, who in their first varsity season, made it into the playoffs in spite of losing to Lumberton and having a worse record.............still haven't figured that one out. ??? Not trying to start a fight there...lol Aaahhh the days of ole..... WO-S, TJ, BC-P, Lincoln, French, Forest Park, Vidor, Beaumont High, South Park, them were the days of football....
  9. heheh no but if you will PM your cell # I will keep you updated on the NED/VID game if you will keep me updated on the Liv/Cen game ;D
  10. No he did play. I am pretty sure he played most of the game... not every down. The carousal of RBs was as usual... Pittman, Peavey, Reynolds, and Dart... the 4th qtr was 2nd team... Gilmore, Quirante, Green, and Tate.
  11. I am pretty sure there will be some gray hairs grown in both towns during the next week.
  12. Oh I am not saying that they aren't explosive, But if we grind it down the field and keep Big Neds O off the field they can't score 8) That is all I am saying. The reference to our D was meant more as they can hang... We will have a full house Homecoming, On HALLOWEEN and at home... does help ;D But everyone knows that Big Ned can put up some points....
  13. ahhh I was wondering how the Jefferson house was going to be if Willie would of scored on Phillip... Probably in an uproar now.... Poor Mrs. Jefferson.
  14. Don't sell Vidor's scrappy defense short. may not be the fastest, tallest, or most talented but they will hit you from the first tic to the last tic of the clock. They bend but don't break. I don't know if it will be as high scoring, Vidor is ball control ( when we aren't fumbling ) and that takes a toll on the clock. If we don't let Grogan and Big Ned get in a rhythm, It could be low scoring grind it out football.... That plays in our advantage.
  15. Oops sorry Pirate I was referring to the Bears QB/WR combo... I went back and read my comment and realized I had not made that clear... sorry for the miscommunication. ohh sorry my bad you mean number 20&83? 83 had like 7 or 8 drops tonight lmao guess we ate his claws..... Yeah but for 2 sophomores they didn't do to bad. 20 has a good arm and some nimble feet. 83 doesn't have blazing speed but has some size and would probably do better on crossing routes instead of go routes... they are rough but could be smoothed out, if they don't give up. And yes #45 did take a cheap shot, and I am sure getting the snot beat out of you every Friday night has something to do with that... I am not condoning it just stating fact.
  16. I think Coach Watters may of found Central's niche on the Offensive side of the football... He is a nice man and has a great family.
  17. Oops sorry Pirate I was referring to the Bears QB/WR combo... I went back and read my comment and realized I had not made that clear... sorry for the miscommunication.
  18. Oh don't give me that BS Soulja.... do you know what a bag full of beggin' strips would do to a bunch of hungry bulldogs??? hehehehehe
  19. I will predict that it will be a hard hitting, pain inflicting contest that will go down to the wire, and the team that either has the ball last or the least amount of TO's will come out on top... I know that sounds vague and politician like sidestepping...... 8) did I do a good Job? ..... But it that is how it will fan out... I do not think anyone will run away or over the other...
  20. I agree with your assessment. I think Vidor as the edge at this point. It's the game being played in Vidor? Yes sir in Vidor
  21. It was a good game. We still put the pigskin on the ground way to many times... luckily we got some great bounces. The future of this team looks good, will have a decent QB and WR, need some work on the O Line and on tackling drills. The team is very young but does show some promise if they work hard. I am not commenting on the leadership as that is an LC-M deal. Keep your heads up Bears. Someone on here has a signature that says it all.... Hard work beats talent when talent don't work hard. Or something to that effect. Good luck to you the rest of the year. Way to go Pirates... Keep up the hard work and hold on to the football. We have a rough game next week... but it is at our house, on HALLOWEEN, and its our Homecoming...
  22. In Vidor, On HalloWeen, and Our Homecoming.... going to be a very good game.
