You may be referring to Elkhart, if so you were misinformed.  They won series 2-0 and disclosed and ineligible player in game 2 and forfeited that game which tied series with Kirbyville.  Kirbyville won game 3 and advanced.

 

If referring to another team you will have to provide more specifics.

Wow.  And tip of the cap to Elkhart for coming clean...based on what I read they self-disclosed the violation.

Dayton leads Game 3, 1-0 in the bottom of the 3rd inning.

Not much surprises me but I was expecting bigger crowd for Dayton.  Same last year when played LCM.  Damn good team that deserves better support.

 

That matters in the play-offs.

Hostetler pitched game 2.  Game 3 was to start 30 minutes after.   Ned won toss I think. 

 

Good news for Ned fans is that Guidry pitch count was low.  Should have no problem going again considering I saw her throw 180 pitches in game against LCM earlier this year without fading.

Outstanding pitching performance by Hope Russell on the mound tonight. 2-hit shutout.

Looking at Nederland team which has many elements of the 2013 play-off team.  A very good hitting team that was suppressed in district by pitchers who have faced or played with them since 8U.  They showed what they could do when they got outside of district last year.  Guidry has been impressive on the mound this year and moves the ball well.   

 

That being said I wouldn't want to be playing Dayton right now either.  Experienced team with great pitching.

 

3-game series favors Dayton due to pitching depth but if Nederland bats show up dogs can take this one in two.  Winner of game 1 takes series.

Livingston/ Lumberton Game will be 8 pm Monday. Woodville or Silsbee Possible location.

How many teams make play-offs in 21-3A...was 3 in the past and I thought top 3 were OF, HJ, BC?  Did I miss something?

Does not seem fair to eliminate one and let two play but it is what it is.

 

There was a disputed obstruction call at home plate in the Livingston-PNG game that overruled an out and resulted in two runs being scored for Livingston.  That call goes the other way and the runs scored totals would have been different.  Will be a hard pill to swallow for the Lady Indians.

I am surprised it is taking this long...can only assume this means not decided yet. Need to get on with it if there will be game(s) with a holiday weekend coming up.

Congrats to my Lady Bears on a good season and good win tonight.  Hope Russell was strong yet again on the mound and Taylor Fracc and Kayla Manuel went deep for the Bears.  Looking forward to the play-offs.

 

Great season by the Lady Pirates and congrats on the DC.  Expecting them to make some noise in the play-offs this year.  Good luck.

I have heard two possible scenarios for determining 4th place:

 

1. There will be two games.  Two play and the winner of that game plays the third to see who advances.

2. The teams will be seed by run differential.  Teams 3 is eliminated and teams 1 and 2 play one game and winner advances.

 

Scenario 1 makes perfect sense and is consistent with the 2-way tie scenario between PNG and Livingston 2 years ago.  Scenario 2 seems like a contradiction and the #3 team will feel slighted.

 

We will find out.
