Congratulations Mikaela!

This was a lot of fun and really special seeing my daughter take the field with a lot of girls that have played with or against each other since 8U. Congratulations again to all of the players, some great talent on both sides. Gotta believe many of these ladies will excel at the next level. Props to those mentioned above and those two defensive CF plays stood out. Really proud of some young ladies I have known a long time. Haley Mills was outstanding and didn't leave a clean spot on her uniform. Khandi Breaux pitched well allowing 1 ER in 3 innings and Hope Russell was magnificent in 3 scoreless innings. Also special to see Kelsey Beard double in her last at bat before swapping the cleats for the volleyball hardcourt. Congrats to Taylor Fracc, Ashlyn Monroe and Ariel Clogston on HRs.

Getting excited about one last game in the HS uniforms...
-
Not sure exactly but not far off. Still have to be nominated I think but not sure of process. It has four or five levels so seems to get all corners of the state.

We have this conversation every year. Two all-state teams: Texas Sportswriters and TGCA. I think TGCA membership is $25.

Congratulations to Haley Mills and Hope Russell of LCM for making TGCA 4A All-State Team.
Proud of you ladies!

Aledo is a very good team. Fundamentally sound and well coached. #6 had big day against us with 2HR and centerfielder made sprinting leaping catch in the gap to rob my DD of a HR. If I remember right #6 missed a couple games after we played them and they took a couple losses. Been on a tear since.

Would be awesome. Time to get back to one game at a time.
-
Any of the 4 teams are state champ caliber. Hoping BH can pull it off. Just a two game winning streak is all that is needed.
-
-
Congrats BH! Good luck in Austin.
-
Actually this is Regional Final. Winner advances to state semi finals. Pulling for BH.

Congratulations to all selected. I have watched many of these young ladies grow up and proud to see them recognized after years of hard work and dedication.

31 for her LCM career. 30 the last 3 years with 5 of those being in the play-offs.

Yes a purple team will win. Need to make sure they get the uniforms coordinated or it will get confusing.
If it is a 3 game series, nod goes to Dayton if they take the LCM approach in game 2 to not let Prinz beat you (4 walks, 1 run). Seen and faced both pitchers and Bell is the better hurler and Hostetler can be effective in this caliber series if needed while Johns is going to carry the whole load for Elgin. Dayton bats were strong against Montgomery and Nederland and LCM put up 26 hits against Johns so expect Dayton to hit her stuff too. Scouting report coach got watching game 2 of area series will prove valuable.
Dayton fans, come out to support your girls. These opportunities don't come along very often to get this deep in the play-offs. Elgin fans traveled well this weekend so I guarantee they will represent. Side note - Elgin fans were great people, polite and friendly and they support their girls as good as any I have come across.

LCM's totals for the year (29)

Chelsy White. 1

Proud of the Lady Bears. Fought hard today and left it all on the field.

Elgin can play. Bears got a dose of their own medicine with long balls. Abby Prinz best hitter I have seen since C Lanphear. Last HR was a good pitch, inside on her hands and she managed to get hands inside the ball. Impressive. Some positives for the Bears out hit Elgin 11-10. Never quit and had a lot of hard hit balls for outs. Johns lived off speed and bears have seen what she has. Got to keep the ball in the park tomorrow.
