He really is a great coach. I'm sure Kirbyville misses him. No disrespect meant to the current Kirbyville coach.

I think its that you hear so much about Newton, you forget that there are other good teams behind them.

We all know Newton is a given, but what about the other teams. We have 4 close teams after that battling for playoff spots.

So Ennis is off to an 8-0 record which to say is a huge improvement from where they were when Alvarez started at Ennis. Is anyone surprised by this?

This games can not get here fast enough. Makes for a great weekend of football!

I believe Jasper's defense has improved under Barbay and if Jasper can avoid turnovers I think Jasper has a real shot.

Don't get me wrong I wasn't trying to take anything away from WOS. Jasper made too many mistakes that they could have controlled. WOS defense is beast and with that ill leave that alone.

Like I said I predict Carthage to pull this game out, but I would by no means be surprised if Jasper won. I mean they were competitive against WOS and they shot their selves in the foots in that game with mistakes. Should be a great game and I look forward to being there.

Newton could take on quite a bit of 3A teams. Buna making the Jump to 3A was going to be problematic for them. They weren't a dominating team in 2A like Newton. Again I believe Buna can hang but they just need some time. They will get there.

I don't see Buna Making the playoffs. Making the jump from 2A to 3A especially to the district they are in, we pretty much knew was not going to happen. Buna can hold up in the district though they just need some time.

Center had it being a 9 point game until Carthage scored on the very last play of the game. I could see Jasper winning if it was at home, but it being at Carthage I predict Carthage wins by no more then 10 points. Should be a good game and hopefully a lot of Jasper's fan base will show up. Carthage has a beautiful field with a brand new nice TV so I hear. lol
