Talked to someone involved in the program and was told coach Morgan was reported to UIL for having to harsh a workout program. I was told this was a big reason for coach Morgan leaving.

If I didn't know a lot of these guys playing for Jasper I don't know if I would want to watch Jasper football anymore. A lot of these guys are my friends but its like a soap opera in Jasper and its to the point now where all I have is College and NFL. Today has been one sad day.

The new Cleveland lol I was thinking more along the lines of Oakland with Al Davis lol Team goes 8-8 and undefeated in division.......FIRED. lol

Let's assume spreadguy7 could be right,it doesn't Explain all the coaches Jasper has went through in the past 10 years. Something has to be up on the inside. I believe you might hire one or maybe 2 bad coaches but this is just getting ridiculous. It's becoming normal to lose coaches rather then normal to keep one and that's just insane in itself.

After talking to multiple people it boils down to 1.) people were still complaining about him being hired 2.) He wasn't being given the full control he was promised and 3.) people were trying to get him fired by reporting him to the UIL for stuff that isn't even an infraction. Again this isn't anything set in stone but from talking to multiple people involved with the program all their answers seem to line up with the theory that Administration was and is the problem and coach Morgan did nothing wrong.

Ok so I just talked to a football player who said Coach Morgan told them why he was leaving. I won't say why due to not starting any drama but from what I am hearing it was for sure administration and maybe even some parents that made this happen.

I'm friends on Facebook with members of the football boosters and they are just as torn as everyone else. One says its coach Morgans fault and he wasn't a good guy and the other half says its the administrations fault. I met coach Morgan and he seemed like a stand up guy. I wouldn't think the administration would let him out of it to go coach somewhere else which makes me think its either problem with the administration or in fact there is more to this whole thing then meets the eye.

IN their defense thats how this decision was first found out because Coach Morgan had given the players a speech. You never know how reliable any of this info we post is which is really the beauty of a forum. lol

None of this makes sense right now and it was so sudden I have to believe something is up on the inside. I can believe the Job offer thing but I would have expected a good job offer for him to come earlier rather than now.

This is kinda bumming me out. I liked coach Morgan. I felt the program was heading in the right direction and to see him leave will hurt this team because it's more change and no consistency.

I just got word from one of the guys involved in the program that he is leaving. That's shocking after only one year. He must have gotten an offer or something.

What kind of offense does he run?

Does he have a certain side of the ball that he specializes in? Offensive or defensive guru?

Congrats Trojans on a fantastic season!

It is my understanding that baseball is his forte and that he is a great baseball coach so I have no idea which direction Colmesneil is going.

No word on that I just know he is the baseball coach.

After all that has happened to this team and having a rough start this year he really turned things around. Congrats to coach Thompson and really this wos team. Good luck in the future.

Job is posted and according to people who is involved in the program they have told me the position for football and athletic director is open and coach Davis is still baseball coach. I wish the best for this program in the future.

That right there is the dream coach every Sports program should have. Great man who leads a team not just in the art of winning but being a role model to others. Fantastic coach for Angleton and Vidor. Good luck to both programs in the future.

Jasper did shoot theirselves in the foot with turnovers and I believe their defense can be beaten but be prepared to have to score a ton of points to keep up with chapel hill. They will put numbers up
