I am so proud of these boys they play with their hearts and I know they can do this. We have a very young team and most of these boys have been playing ball together since they were 5 and 6 years old. We want it and they prove that every time they step in the field!

im not saying who is going to win or loose this game but i will say that there has always been a big rivalry between the cats and the eagles and those games always tend to be better, it all depends on who wants it more. I am just hoping that its a fair and clean game and i hope that all the players and fans are safe and no one gets hurt. i also hope that everyone stops and remembers that whether the cats or the eagles win they are all just kids, and are all out there doing their best.

Humble pie, crow, and your foot are hard swallow. I do agree with 14.2 on the size limit of schools. UIL's current way of deciding who goes D1 or D2 plus their lunatic idea of starting new 6A schools in 5A make it awfully hard for traditional 5A schools (see our area) to advance past the area round. We faced it when we ran into Summer Creek in 2012; Div 2 and I think we go a few rounds. Add WOS to Vidor and see what happens. Nederland ran into it with Georgetown in 2013. It's hard to compete with schools that suit up 50 seniors and you have 35-40 of ALL CLASSES on your sidelines. I'm going to continue preaching it until they do something about it.
I agree to a point, but correct me if I am wrong, there is only a set amount of kids on the field playing at a time. its not like the whole team is on that field with the opposing team with say only 35 players..... you and I both know that is all for show! not every kid is going to get to play and I bet if someone sat down and figured out what kids played and how many times it would be the same if I had a small school. you play your better players, 1st string, the others are there for show and what ifs. I agree it is intimidating to see a school that big but at the end of the day its the same amount of kids on the field at a time and no matter how you look at it, if you win u out played and if you lose you got out played, simple as that.

Great story and I know the Wildcats will be playing for Doug tonight! to them Coach Neece is their dad and Doug Neece was their uncle and these boys play with their hearts, and for who they love! so tonight as we take the field I know who will be in their hearts as the play this game! Prayers to Coach and his family, you know Kirbyville is here for you.

no doubt who has this game i'm just praying for a clean and safe game for both teams and pray that the fans travel safely to and from the game...Good Luck Cats and catch you next week!!

Total Points Scored Against E.C. DEFENSE 47
Total Points Scored Against K-Ville DEFENSE 105
Total Points Offense Scored by E.C. 354
Total Points Offense Scored by K-Ville 328
this may be true but you also have to take into consideration that our team does put in the 2nd string when we are really ahead, can u image what it would be if Coach Neece kept our starters in even on blow outs??? So in my opinion you cant go by the scores, every team is different. I do think that this will be the best game by far of the season and I hope all players and fans and bands travel safely and if all goes right the Cats will walk away with the big Win!!!!! but it ill be a nail bitter

no question kville has this but I am also worried about the weather and I pray for a clean and safe game for all involved. and safe travels for the Cheerleaders, players, band members and fans, please be safe on the road and good luck

Disappointing sign of sportsmanship displayed by Kirbyville tonight at their bonfire. They burned a dummy dressed in blue/gray to symbolize a Buna coach/player. I know they are upset about losing their key to the city (lost every varsity game against Buna on the boys side last year) but this is extremely tasteless and leaves me smh.
I think it was a bunch of teenagers having their 1st bonfire for homecoming nothing more, when I was in high school we stole the Welcome to Cougar country sign to use in our road kill café float, and Buna kids killed a cat and put in our bus loop, that wasn't very tasteful either, it was not meant to be anyone just burning BLUE!!!!! and a cougar sign, if it was meant to be a coach or a player im sure they would have put a # or coach on the shirt. Buna and Kirbyville have always had that love hate thing going, it pushes all the boys, it doesn't matter if one team is having a down right lousy year, you can bet when they play each other the best WILL come out!!! because it drives them, stop being so arrogant and thinking that was the adults doing it and remember it is a bunch of high school kids trying to have an awesome homecoming and their first bonfire. Good grief I thought this thread was about football and not what they burned on there fire! Rant over......GO WILDCATS!!!!!

I really hate to say this but crockett by 13

I think ec has this one, easy but I don't think it will be as bad as some of yall think, Kville vs ec will be the best game but that's not the game this week so why look ahead that far, focus on whats in front of you and what job you have to get done, 2nd and 3rd place in district is in-between these 2 teams!!! :-P so good luck to both teams and I will be keeping tabs!!!
-
Woodville all the way,

I see a great Cat fight this week, Buna will play harder because they don't want to loose the title they got on us last year, but the Wildcats will be out for blood and everyone knows that makes for a great game, not to mention it is the Wildcats Homecoming and they will be playing a little harder to keep that win. I'm not saying either team is better than the other, because as I see it Buna has just as good of a record as we do, in district. I do see the Wildcats on top but I am hoping to see a great game! and a clean game, no fights or injuries.

east chambers all the way

this is a game I would love to be at but I will be in the stands cheering on my cats, I think Newton is playing for their Coach and I think that alone will help pull them on top, but I know the stangs are going to be on their heels the whole way. I also think this will be a very low scoring game....good luck to both teams!!!

no doubt the Wildcats have this one, I say at least 54 to 14,
