1. Nothing bad to say about Faircloth, it just seems like its more of a who-you-know kind of thing instead of being based on performance. Which maybe it's not supposed to be based on performance or anything so more power to them. They should have no problem representing our area well.
Yes...Really!  ;)
Did I miss something? I mean I will try to put it nicely: aren't there a few other coaches who deserve this a little more than Faircloth?
 3. I haven't seen as many games as some others, but I have never seen a more complete 4A football team than Georgetown. The only real weakness I saw was the QB was willing to take chances on dangerous throws. Other than that, Georgetown is an excellent team..
 4.
a&m will ALWAYS be UT's lil bro
You still mad bro? I think you'll be eating those words in the coming years. A&M has the chance to become a top tier elite program over the next few years..
 5.
"Thou shall not kill" what would it hurt to have them posted in govt. buildings?
I don't think it would hurt anything. But by the same token, its useless. Do you really think that will stop someone??
 6.
as tragic as this is/was, looking at this and other horrible things that have happend in the past year,is alarming. call it mental illness, or whatever, but for so many individuals to do it,says to me it's more than that to it. which in that case, i truly believe we are in the end of times now. nobody knows when the day will come, but imo, it's on the horizen...these american terroist can't be stopped :(...as someone said earlier, kiss them and tell them you love them everyday and not take them for granted...not only children, but mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, anyone you love in your heart, even thy neighbor.... best thing was said on here also was to stop talking about the shooter and concentrate on the lives lost. i think more and more of these type people will come out and pull stuff like this, if the media and people "glorify" them
You hit the nail on the head. The more the media talks about this sick individual, the more others with sick thoughts will be inclined to cause harm to others. Especially those who seek attention.

Evil is now rampant, and immorality and violence reigns. God have mercy on us, especially the children.  :'(
Hmmm.. Well God is the one that allowed this to happen right? I'll give your next answer..... He gives us free will.. To which I say, those children had no free will.. Not looking for a debate but I think it's a bit arrogant to think that we as a species pissed off a deity who wants to now punish us.. Believe whatever you want, but don't lie to people and shadow the truth. Which is that a mentally disturbed man with asperger's got a hold of guns and did something terrible. This country needs to start taking mental health a little more seriously. More funding, more research, stricter practice guidelines. And lastly it's about individuals. As Michael Berry says, "if you see something, say something." people around this individual should've seen some signs, especially the mother. I'll step down now, but let's not sit here and say that this has something to do with God. It has to do with mental health and gun access... My thoughts are with the victims families and I hope they find peace however they can.
Awful lot of opinion coming from someone not looking for a debate.
Sometimes mat, opinions don't really matter. Sometimes tragedies can supersede what each individual thinks is right or wrong. Maybe you are too  young to understand that, or maybe just too self-centered to concede it. I can only speak for myself, but the fact is that I don't need to feel right, especially after such a horrific tragedy. There are things that are more important than trying to win some debate. So, I can have an opinion and state the opinion, but please don't make the mistake of thinking I have any desire to debate you or anyone else. Go find someone young and dumb if that's what you are looking for.. Some things are more important. 8.
godogs you said a poster said God turned his back on our nation, post said we turned our back on God . btw ,its not a diety, like one of many He is the diety.  some people are just broke, if violence is in there mind there is nothing to stop this, to predict when or where one sick person might act in such a manner. pray for mercy, forgiveness, peace and strive to keep our children safe and morally sound. teach your kids to be gun safe, careful when driving-not texting, these things too can kill,  2,500 hundred such cases in texas this year related to deaths. imo, God is not punishing children for our narrow views and or lack of values, rendering judgement on the innocent, not that he wouldnt be just in judging those who have forsaken the laws of this christian nation and of His word, but the broke , sick minded people, lost without God commit such cowardice acts of their own free will. no religious or political debate by this post just a view of one that is concerned  for the future of our children, families ,friends and nation, Jesus forgive and bless us all
I apologize if I didn't interpret the post as intended. I grew up with the notion that God was omnipotent and created us in his image. I felt like the post was saying that the reason those innocent children were slaughtered was because God felt betrayed by us and so he allows things like this to happen. We can all have differing opinions on religion and God etc., but the fact remains that there are evil people in the world. There are evil religious people and evil non-believers. I don't think religion or lack thereof is the reason why things like this happen. I think it's a systematic problem with two separate issues: mental illness and ease of access to guns. By no means would I support any overturn to the second amendment as I am a gun owner myself. That being said, gun owners need to be more responsible, especially parents. Even more so if your child is mentally ill. This shouldn't be a debate about religious values however. The U.S. is the most Christian nation in the world.
 9.
Where are all the relegion haters now? I have seen many polotitians on tv on school property and even in DC saying to pray for families and friends even the pres. qouted scripture from the bible and I saw a priest on school property. Why are they not all over tv telling us how thats wrong?  I personally  believe the media focus to much on the shooter and not enough on the victims giving that next nut case ideas of how to become famous! jmo
Now is not the time for political/religious wars. I guess that would be my best guess as to why the specific things you referred to havent been discussed. It's "politicians" (not polotitians) and they have every right to pray for whomever they choose. I don't really understand why religion was ever brought into this in the first place? It's as if anything bad that happens in this world is because we aren't religious enough. The United States is among (if not at the top) the most religious countries. You don't hear about these types of crimes in many other countries like you do in the U.S. So if anything, these heinous crimes occur more in ultra-religious countries than in those that aren't, such as England. As for the Newtown shooting, I don't see religion as a factor in any of this. I see mental illness and the lack of attention to it by his family, his doctor, and people around him. People have every right to pray or seek God in a time like this, but I will agree that priests on any public school property should be viewed with contempt as it is against the law.

 11. I guess I missed something? What are we talking about?
 12. Fans leave early. It happens.. Not everyone has a 9-5 job and many shift workers have work early on the weekends, etc. And other people may have family commitments and other things.. It's not always black and white. That's a long drive.
 13. Yes GT is that good.. Nederland got outcoached and outplayed in every aspect of the game. Surprised at how much talent GT has. Good luck GT..
 14. Raines thinks he has all day and they are nailing him.. He's got to get rid of the ball quicker and quit giving away his target. He is looking right toward where he is throwing it. Easy spleezy for a good secondary.. Going to need some magic from Monte and a score on first possession or this one is over.. No time to waste...
 15. Can't give a team 7 points. That might be the difference in the game.. GT is dirty with late hits
 16. Should've been Nederlands ball. GT threw a pass on first down an it was ruled incomplete but replays showed he took a full step and spun before ball was knocked loose..
 17. Gates opened at 1:30. I got here a little before one and there were already a couple thousand people in line. We barely got seats. They were gone pretty fast..
 18. Whoever said GT had as big of a following as Nederland was smoking that stuff.. No seats left on Ned side. GT may have 150 seated..
 19.
You're right they haven't been watching film all week and breaking down what Nederland does. You already shocked the world last week, Georgetown's turn.
It wouldn't be a shock for Georgetown to win..Nederland shouldn't even be on the same field as the Eagles... Georgetown should run away with this one and everyone knows it..
 20.
It looks like we will have great weather in the 70's on Saturday.  I guess the rain is going to hold off until Sunday.  Fingers crossed!!  Go Dogs:)
it might not be such a bad thing if it rained saturday...
 21. Awesome RaiderGirl! That gave me chills the whole song. It brought me back to when I played for Nederland. Nothing will ever come close to those Friday nights...
 22.
There is no bigger Dog fan than me. Some of you guys are easy. You keep falling into the trap that AGF is setting. The more you argue with him the more he is reeling you in. Silence is golden.
Lol I said the same thing on another thread.. Let him go off. I could care less. It doesn't offend me. Just going to make it that much sweeter if Nederland somehow finds a way to pull off the miracle upset...
 23. You're playing right into this idiot's hands people. Let him down Nederland all he wants. I like when our players go into a game knowing that nobody expects them to win. So let AGF go off all he wants.... "never argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.."
