  1. that's pretty sad. they seemed to have a really big following the last few years. Guess we shouldn't expect many fans if we play.
  2. I guess you had to be there live to see it. Most of them were honestly dead drops, it got comical there at the end. The plays for either side went back and forth in that game as I would have expected. So the woulda, coulda, shoulda goes both ways. Longview coaches have at times this year called set pass plays with 1 option. That has drastically changed in the last few weeks. When our QB is allowed options, it doesn't end well for the opposing defense, but we will see. Outside a few posters, Lancaster doesn't get the props they deserve because of the 2 losses, but whoever gets them will find out. It's also pretty worthless to argue at this point about the strength of our d-line and front seven. Most people have significantly underestimated them this year. And when their all world offense can't block them or run on them, they change their tune. Like I said, I know Crosby isn't scared and I have waited for this matchup. I hope all of the right games fall into place to see this one happen.
  3. I think that is fair. A Crosby team that is healthy, can minimize mistakes, and play on the level that was predicted at the start of the year has a solid chance to be competitive when they come to Lobo. One thing is for certain, either Lobo fans have been living in a bubble this year or Crosby fans will be a little surprised when we play. No disrespect to the rest of the talented teams in 8-5A, this is the matchup I have been looking for. Two rabid fan bases and two solid programs. I hope it plays out that we will see each other next week.
  4. I was wondering when you would show up again, lol. I actually agree with you that the best matchup out of your district is and has been a healthy Crosby. A Crosby team that is just getting healthy and a few games to gel is a recipe for a really good 1st round game. The Lancaster game was a great game and showed us several things to work on. The only thing you can’t be blind to in that game is the 6 or 7 interceptions that Longview dropped. That won’t happen again. Lancaster’s defense is elite and probably the best or at least top 2 in Texas in D1 but Longview prevailed. The thing Crosby better be able to do is learn to stop the run and fix your offensive line. If you can’t stop the run or block our defense, the game will honestly be over in the first half. I honestly don’t see that happening. I expect a solid game with Longview winning by 3 scores.
  5. Good season saving win by Crosby. Solid poise to go down the field that fast and score. Good luck next week against GC. Hoping we all can stay healthy for a clean game at Lobo.
  6. This game is honestly for more than just the district championship. It has same implications that the Longview-Lancaster game did. The winner gets a much easier road the first two rounds of the playoffs. The loser gets dropped in the fryer from the jump on the hellacious side of the bracket in Region 2. As long as the PAM defense plays with intensity, I think they take this by 10+
  7. great run and awareness by the RB to know where he had to get
  8. PAM's speed is the difference in this game. If they would get a player or 2 in space, they would pick up yards in bunches.
  9. Is this the same coaching staff for Crosby as the last few years?
  10. I am very interested to see how this game plays out. We could most definitely see the winner of this game in the third round if we both make it that far. So would definitely like some insight in how you guys seeing this play out. All I have is what I can watch online. BH - not as athletic as most teams they play but fundamentally sound on offense and defense and put their more athletic players in good position to do damage. I like their overall offensive scheme. Looks similar to McKinney North and Magnolia. Do you guys always play with a 3 down lineman on defense? PAM - athletic and solid talent all over the field, doesn't seem to be as disciplined in overall play. Has trouble with dynamic offensive schemes. right or wrong?
  11. You guys have definitely made the post season predictions a mess. Congrats on the win. This should be an interesting game this week.
  12. Definitely is fun to look at and think about. I find myself looking at the potential matchups as we get later into the season. His analysis makes that much easier. The potential 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round matchups give me something to over analyze. We have to take care of district first and then the 1st round but still fun to look into.
  13. @LoboFan07 always does a fantastic breakdown on the region every week...Here is his latest: Class 5A Division I Region II Standings/Projections: [Hidden Content] Class 5A Division I Region II Overview: [Hidden Content]
  14. I am so white, in high school I was called Snow Cracker...now if that isn't white...I don't know what is.

  16. If the Crosby coach wanted NRG, King would probably make you go to Shreveport. I'd settle for a mid way point like SFA. Plenty of room and great venue.
  17. As a Lobo fan, I tend to agree more that Longview should not have the nod over 1-2 possibly 3 other teams for the number one spot. My reasons are pretty simple: O-line: I know we return a lot but are on the smaller side. That is not historically a problem for Longview to have smaller O-line because they are masters of using strength and leverage to their advantage. That has definitely not been the case the last two years. If that changes and they get back to true form, they will be a force. QB: Potential starter - Great kid, hard worker, completely committed to his team/program. His skillset the two previous years underwhelmed but he has looked his best this spring and qualifying for the state 7 on 7. How he plays this fall will be the key...doesn't have to be a world beater but has to cut down on the mistakes in a major way. Games versus elite teams: As previously mentioned we are 0-5 the last 2 years against the best (elite) teams on our schedule. Until we can get over that hump, it is a wait and see for me. I personally think that Lonestar-Crosby-Longview will be the Region 2 favorites. The biggest issue for both Longview and Crosby will be their really weak schedules. I think Longview has 2 solid teams on its schedule and Crosby 1-2. That could be an issue for both teams once the playoffs start. Going to be a great season. Can't wait to see what happens.
  18. Lumberton should be favored. Tatum has a brand new coach and a new offense to learn.
  19. That was a fantastic race. Sure Longview has some talent...everyone else does as well. We are a mid level program, not a real threat, so you don't have anything to worry about. I mean, its not like we are Carthage or Liberty Hill. As far as R2 goes, if anyone thinks they are going to walk through this region, they will be in for a rude awakening. There is more consistent talent in this region than not. Lots of athletic teams with good size. Going to be fun. Good luck to you guys.
  20. Yep...I wouldn't worry about Longview...not much talent and they are pretty slow...Crosby should have no problem in R2
  21. Very impressive win...Congrats and good luck the rest of the way...You guys are going to be a nightmare for whoever has to deal with Crosby...
  22. Very impressive win by Crosby...I hope TH doesn't get downplayed because Crosby took them to the woodshed...Crosby just beat a really good team and made a solid defense look a JV team...should be an interesting game with Huntsville...good luck the rest of the way....
  23. This should be a great game...sell out on getting the QB and you beat Pine Tree....only one team was able to do it this year. Nederland should be favored by 7-10 due to Pine Tree's defense being suspect at times...
