Vidor was 5-5 the year they beat WO-S as home. WO-S did not go to state that year. Vidor missed the playoffs that year by losing to LC-M in week 9. So i guess your memory is slipping a little. By the way, when is the last time Lumberton was in the playoffs? Oh yeah, thats right. I believe everyone on the board knows the answer to that one.

But there is a Trey Burrell and he is pretty dang good.

Lumberton isn't as good as they think. Vidor proved they are pretty good knocking off nederland. Pirates win. Fire up the grill and start marinating some more crow for the L'Towners.

I'm personally glad that the fans in Vidor are excited and are confident that they can play with and even beat Nederland. I would be embarrassed if they said they were going to lose. This is what high school football is all about. People bragging on their schools and bashing the opponents. Good luck to everybody tonight and I can't wait for next week when we have Vidor vs. Lumberton.

Don't take this personally because it is not meant to be disrespectful. If the Raiders were 0-3 right now, would everybody still be saying that Credeur is possibly the best coach in the area?

if they ever want to win consistantly, they must be on the same page from 7th up. if not, then we will be looking at the same old lumberton next year when the kids must learn another new system.

there is no doubt that capitalizing on mistakes is part of football, and they did a good job of it. but if the nondistrict schedule was west brook, west orange stark, and jasper then instead of 3-0 then they would probably bo 0-3

of the three teams they played, only one shoudl even be considered decent and that is BC. from watching the game, one mistake by BC is what won the game for them. please don't fool yourself and think you played top notch competition

sounds like some of the things lumberton says all the time. i mean there si a forum titled Lumberton Will Win. i've said this before on another post, you guys can give it out, but you can not take it. Go Broncos, Go Pirates, Go Bears, Go Jaguars, Go Panthers, Go Bulldogs, and Go Indians.

i'll just be glad when this week is over and the game is actuall played. i just want to know what is going to be said if lumberton goes 4-6 or 5-5 on the year. that would mean that only 1 or 2 district games were won. are we still going to be told that this is the best team in southeast texas?

believe me you have our attention. we can't escape ya'll. if im not mistaken, people have told you guys good job. but like i've said before, if we do not believe the raiders will win state, then we are idiots. we just have opinions. nothing but the best to the players, but you fans are making it really hard to root for them.

why does lumberton have to get involved in every single post and tell us how great they are???

usually when i say lumberton will not win i get about 5 people saying that i'm a jerk and why can i not believe in these kids. seems like if someone's opinion on lumberton is different from the raider nation we are idiots.

scrimmages DO NOT COUNT. they are a practice between 2 teams. no kicking game, fumbles and ints blown dead. you can not keep harping on scrimmages. nederland, png, wos, bc, and all other teams in the area have forgotten about their scrimmages. again, they DO NOT COUNT

i believe the streak ends. if not good job raiders. however, it WILL end this year. now the typical lumberton posters can come on and tell me how wrong i am.

nothing knocking jv games. these are some of the most exciting games of the week. these kids get after it and work harder than most of the varsity guys.

If you guys win, I would expect you to tell me you told me so. You are right about one thing. I do not give you guys a chance in your district. If you were in 3A, you may have a shot. It will just be to difficult to succeed this year where yall are. And about not making excuses if you lose Friday, you may not. But i guarantee there will be people from lumberton making those excuses. they are already hinting that this will be the reason. Bottom line, good luck to the players. Don't get so defensive when people voice an opinion.

i didn't say anything about the kids not being hurt. i know of kids from h-j being out, bc kids being out, vidor players not being able to play with injuries. every team has injuries, but noone else gets on the board and starts telling everyone about them when you are about to get beat. im sure the people in BC could start complaining about Dishon being hurt, but they are not. i feel bad for the kid if he is hurt, and i do hope he recovers. the post was not aimed at him. it was aimed at the people who are going to say saturday morning how Lumberton would have won if he would have been in the game.

dayton runs away with this one. lumberton is a little better than they were in the past, but still will NOT be able to compete in district play. and as far as hearing about "injuries" and "illnesses", don't make excuses if you lose. if you happen to win, act like you've been there before. oh thats right, you have never been there before. there is an old saying that says act like a champion. champions don't brag or make excuses. thats why you guys will never be champions.

jv games and stats are only important to the jv players. these games are only played to get the younger guys ready for varsity. no one gets trophies and playoff berths for jv games. as long as they can learn the offense and defense, then the jv has a successful year
