  1. I wouldn't mind paying money to see Nederland play: Wofforth Frenship -The best 4A team in West Texas year in and out. Many top recruits with OL, WR and DBs. Coaching staff would complement in comparison to Nederland's in quality and talent. Plainview - Next to Frenship, one of the most consistant 4A teams in WT as far as winning in the 2000s (I didn't check facts, just going off of memory). Outstanding coaching staff with HC Marty McClintock at the helm. Odessa Permian - The fan's energy alone would be a must see. Angleton - I would like to see a rematch. We came out on top when I played and it got really heated between players and coaches.
  2. couldnt have said it better myself. thats a great outtake of nederland football.
  3. Kent Maxwell from Nederland. Lead all Nederland defenders in tackles throught the majority of the season. He did not play 2 games and it took Dabel those 2 games just to catch up to his total. He has got a head for the ball and alot of heart.
  4. I was at this game and dispite the score, Permian made Carroll uncomfortable. Those Permian kids can flat out HIT!!! Riley dodge was knocked out 2 times and had to leave the game for the better past of the 1st half with an ankle injury. Also, Permian kept SLC off the field for alot longer than anyone would have thought. Again, despite the score, Permian played typical "West Texas" smash mouth football. I would watch out for Permian's MOJO for the next few years. Congrats to Coach Dodge and his team, they lived up to their ranking.
  5. There is too much thinking going on here. All that it is speculation. They will play and a winner will be up one district game and the other will not. That's how it is every year. Yes, it is a great rivalry and one of the biggest in the state of Texas, but bottomline, its just another district game. A big one at that which might have playoff implications for these two teams and others possibly. It will be a great hard fought game. GO DOGS!
  6. So did the actual idea and/or wording come from Odessa Permian's MOJO?
  7. Who are we kidding?!? 3-0 or not, Lumberton is still the districts "whipping boy." Some things never change.
