These kids have seen the same offense three years in a row... No surprises in vidor... I am sure angleton had a pretty good run game, pass game and d....big Ned wins this one by a Noel field goal.. plus 28..... I do not know if vidor will get 5 first downs all night..... Sorry PIrates I pick u 2nd or 3rd in 20 4 a...
I agree with the assestment that Vidor is predictable "run," "run," "run," Nederlands strength at Defense is "prevent the run," "prevent the run," "sack the Qb", "sack the Qb"..... With that said, I do believe Vidor will have big plays (maybe some type of trick play that they pull out of their bag of tricks) Special teams will be important for both teams.  Look for onside kicks when least expected. If Nederland offense clicking on all cylinders, Nederland by more than 2 Tds. Vidor will do fine in front of their home crowd and I do believe this will be higher scoring than anyone thinks. Go Dogs!
Just curious did you happen to see what that "prevent the run, prevent the run, sack qb, sack qb" did last night? If I am not mistaken (and I am pretty sure I am not) I believe it was something to the tune of 38 carries for 273 yards which would give an average of 7.18 yards a carry. So "prevent the run" definitely did not happen last night....just saying I say Vidor by 13. Was not impressed with Nederland at all listening to the game last night. Granted they were playing the almighty Angleton, but was a sloppy game with several mistakes that were costly.
Almighty Angleton that hung a double nickel on Vidor last year, And put up almost 500 yards on the vidor D.
Different year & different players, wasn't saying that Vidor would have beat Angleton. Just the way some people make it sound is as if Angleton could challenge UT or something because they were able to beat Nederland. Everything will be played out soon enough. Wish I could make the drive down to see that game. Was really hoping Nederland would have won last night. I have been a Nederland fan since I moved to SE TX in '95. Just gotta pull for Vidor since I have family playing there. Either way, best of luck to both teams and hope they make deep runs into December Football!!

Moore needs to toughen up a little bit though, but thats coming from someone with high expectations for him.
 11.
Vidor's running backs should have a field day.
I'm really hoping so!!
 12. Does anyone know the individual stats for the game? Or where to find them? I live in Missouri (Misery) and my nephew is the FB. Thanks in advance!
 13. What are the requirements for Academic All State? Unfamiliar with it.
 14. Congrats!! Kind of off the topic, but how is Lamar's team? Stats and W/L records only say so much.
 15. I think that is pretty sad honestly. This guy is taking away from everything that team has accomplished. Every game has questionable or missed calls. If not from your standpoint from the other teams standpoint. I am sure DS got away with some as well. I personally have not seen the play(s) in question. But have read from people on here who did see it, that it was the correct call. No one likes a sore loser. I am thankful that the area teams and towns do not act this way when they lose a game. Although some rival games get a little heated before/after it doesn't go to the point of news articles and crying to the UIL.
 16. They are actually showing them in Missouri as well. Kind of shocked me, but will definitely take it! So have my Friday & Saturday planned out.
 17.

VP 32, We have only been 4A for 10 years.(honestly I don't know what our first year in 4A was) 01-02 maybe. So let's hear your top 10 for the last 10 years. Can't wait to see how you keep aledo out of your list.
Did i say anything about the past 10 years? Yes you have had some good success in the years you have been in 4A but take away Gray and three of those years including this one is taken away. You can't deny that without JG you wouldn't have gotten this far. You'd be lucky to make it past the 3rd round. Yes you have a good program but not in the top 10. I'm also taking in winning tradition in 4A into consideration. Now if yall keeping going 3 rounds deep into the playoffs in about 10 to 15 years then yes yall will make my list in the top 10 but right now yall haven't. But this is just my opinion.
Sorry but that is kind of ridiculous to even say. Fact of the matter is HE DOES play on that team. I am pretty sure you look at a lot of teams, take away their star player and they don't win the same amount of games or make it quite as far in the playoffs. Don't hate on someone else because of the atheletes they have. If I misunderstood your meaning, then my apologies. But that player is part of the team. A lot like Midland Lee with Cedric Benson, which you can say take him away and they wouldn't have won 3. But there were 10 other players on Offense which helped him be successful
 18. I was just thinking about this thread earlier (before I knew someone posted it). I wouldn't even go as far as West Texas in that group. Its more the big metroplex areas, Houston, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. The SETX and West TX schools have a lot trouble winning once they get to the Quarterfinals or Semi-Finals especially in 3A and up. Just a shame, in the Quarterfinals between Beaumont/Port Arthur area and Midland/Odessa area there were 3 teams in the Quarterfinals. Two of those went on to the Semi-Finals. Not one went on to the State Championships. I don't pretend to know everything if it's $, coaching, or whatever but by God it sucks. Had planned on going to Arlington this coming weekend because I figured at least one team from West Tx or SETX would be in the Championships but scratch that will be staying in Missouri too far of a drive for schools I have no interest in.
 19. Aledo deflected Hail Mary pass for a TD to end 1st Half 28 - 14. Gray 93 yds 3 tds
 20. Argyle 21 Monahans 14 Aledo 48 Corsicana 28 Wimberly 14 Coldspring 14 Muleshoe 22 Melissa 42 Tyler John Tyler 7 Waco Midway 24 Tyler Chapel Hill 13 Alvarado 13 Dawson 14 Lake Travis 24 2nd
 21. Tried to find some stats on Monahans but the only real newspaper around there is the Odessa American and if it isn't about the Mojo or Bronchos they don't care. Guess Monahans is the step children of the Permian Basin?
