I don't think a game should be decided by that at all. It very well could have been innocent. If anything the penalty should be assessed on the kick off. To take away a touchdown especially in a close game is a little ridiculous. Society desperately needs to change.

Interesting, as said I would love to see Monahans pull off the "W" but just seriously seriously doubt it happens. They have a strong running game, weak passing game, and defense is suspect IMO. Sometimes they show up sometimes they don't. They gave up a lot of yardage and points to Seminole. Been pretty stout on Defense throughout the playoffs though. So maybe they got everything together. Cano and Scharf are both hard runners, Scharf has more potential to break it. While Cano will grind it out and occassionaly break a big one or two.

Played the right competition!? IMO that is fairly irrevelant but, they did beat Brownwood and Snyder. Would love to see Monahans win, but don't think that is going to happen. What type of offense does Argyle run? Who are the key players to listen for during the game Friday??

[/quote] Monahans and Vidor very much play the same type of game, a strong running ball control offense with an equally strong defense. Go ahead and ask some of these SETX Teams about how everyone was going to beat Vidor they were too slow, or too inexperienced. The same thing has been said all year long with Monahans. And just so you know, in the playoffs it really doesn't mean a thing who you beat last week or the week before that. Sure it sounds good but doesn't give you any points on the board for the next weekend. While I do believe Monahans will end up losing this game, don't take a strong running team lightly because of who you beat the previous weeks. Will definitely be listening to this game best of luck to both teams!!

Might be far fetched but I am definitely hoping for a WO-S - Monahans state championship. Two teams from both areas in Tx I grew up in. Would be pretty nice, might have to head to Arlington a little earlier than planned to catch that one if it happens. Does anyone know if either the WO-S or PAM games will be broadcasted?

Wow, the SportsDay HS show on Fox just completely wrote off 4A Division I Region III. Said whoever comes out of Region I or II will have Lake Travis waiting.

Can't be there but will definitely be listening in! When I moved to SE TX several years ago Nederland was the team I always supported. But now I have family playing for Vidor so gotta go with them for the next couple years at least.

Excellent season, I don't think anyone saw it coming. Even after being picked to lose week after week kept on winning and proving them wrong! Can't wait until next year!!
