Okay, I can live with the fact that Merka didn't get MVP, but if not that award, he doesn't get 1st Team QB? This just isn't right. Maybe he's not the flashiest QB, but he just got the job done, whatever it took. He definitely carried that team and they wouldn't have gone nowhere without him. And yes from what I've heard TCU will probably try him at TE. Oh well, as we all know, life sometimes just isn't fair. But I do not agree with this decision.
I would not call finishing 1-4 as "getting the job done" ------as for MVP look at it this way-----the only way he was LESS valuable would be if Crosby finished 0-5 I have to trust the men in that room and the decision they made.
Hey Diamond, he can only control his side. He can't control the defensive side. He got the job done on the offensive side. The defense was the problem with finishing 1-4, not the offense. And before you even say it, yeah Dayton pretty much stopped him.
Your an idiot. Your "boys" might could catch the ball, but they didn't want to catch the ball because they didn't want to get hit after the catch. Only thing I agree with you on (if I can interpret this garbage) is some of the play calling by the coaches makes me scratch my head. Don't blame it on Merka the short comings of this team.
 6. Dobbins is the best RB I've seen this year and I've seen him twice. Quick, tough and reads his blocks well. O-Line for Montgomery really opened it up for him. Crosby played OK, but they have better talent than shows. I won't go into the coaching thing, but sometimes I just scratch my head. But I guess fans from all schools always have opinions on how a game was coached, especially when the team loses. The slow motion offense, getting a play called, just really gets to me. I don't believe a team can get into any kind of rythm when it takes so long to call a play. The better team won today. Good Luck Montgomery in the next round.
 7.
Montgomery has a major issue, we saw it this year in the first half game 1. they don't have the size to matchup against Merka. I'll say this. IF Jackacy has a good game, Montgomery might be in BIG trouble. Also With Dobbin been hurt this year... has he lost any of that maddening speed? if so they might be in trouble. The cougs stuck with this team for a half, and then Dobbins got some good blocks in the second half, we were more injured then than now and our front line was depleted, thats not true, its going to be much harder for the Bears to wear down our defense. BUT Jackacy and the Cougar pass game have really been clicking lately if we can be a 3 faceted team we can win this game, make the fear the RB, make them fear the pass, make the fear Merka's running ability. The triple threat should mean the cougs score a bunch and the defense really played with heart against, Nederland which i hope spills over to this game, if so maybe it'll be the cougs trying to get revenge next week. Hope so as i'll miss this game. -Cougtalk.
Okay. Cougtalk seems to be our lone representative for Crosby. Would you please at least get the names correct? Jackacy was from last years team. It's Jacoby Scott or maybe I'm missing Jackacy. Now to my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised with the way Crosby came out this week. I would not have predicted how we came to play this week. This team has some talent, but from what I have heard (rumor) they are hard to coach (discipline). I did not think they had a chance with Nederland, but they proved me wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if they came out and gave Montgomery a good game, but I would have to give Montgomery the edge. Now I can't wait for all the Dayton perspectives. Even though this has nothing to do with them, I'm sure we'll get their opinions. And Friogirl....KMA. What...do you have an ex husband in Crosby? Man, I'm sick of the Crosby bashing from D-Town. And last but not least, props to Merka. I've really enjoyed watching this kid play ball.
 8.

GCM is about to come to BH tonight with a big head and were about to show them the hill is for real. ;D
A little less talk and a lot more action.
Hey I've seen your mug. You're on Baytown's Most Wanted list. Change your hair color purple and move to Dayton. Nobody there will even notice you.
 9. As a Crosby supporter, Crosby will have to play their best game of the year to even keep it close. Their defense shows signs that they can hang, at times. The CEK game in the first half they couldn't stop anyone. Second half they completely shut CEK down. Almost looked like last years swarming defense, but that's the only time I've seen it the entire year. I know this is compairing apples to oranges. I really don't know what to expect, but if I was a betting man........
 10. This was a BH vs. GCM thread and as I start to read through it realized it is laced once again with Dayton fans. You guys got to jump into every subject that has to deal with 19-4A? I guess you guys feel like you dominate the district so why not dominate all threads. My vote still goes to you guys and not PNG. Ya'll are defintely the obnoxious champs. Kinda reminds me of Cowboy fans. Now I've made enemies to two groups! LOL I'll say one thing, I didn't know this many people in Dayton had computers.
 11. I think you are right. If we had an average defense we would be right there. And really, if you get down to it, last year our defense in the secondary cost us all year long. Our D line was good and our LB's were real good, but the secondary kept giving up huge plays. I see a common denominator. Two things I see that need drastic improvements in the years to come if we are going to be a main player. The defensive scheme is going to have to improve drastically and the offense is going to have to get more creative and not so predictable..... Damn this is easy sitting in my recliner! I got it all figured out.
 12. I can't believe GCM has only one win, make that two. They came to play and Crosby, well, is Crosby. As one posted, Flannigan is so predictable. I disagree about him being arrogant, just predictable. It's like he holds back from using Merka in running situations and then lets him loose when nothing else works and then it's Merka or nothing. I can't stand how he puts Merka alone in the backfield, basically telling the opponent "Here I am and you have to stop me." The play calling at the end of the game, which they were lucky to get that score, and then in OT was pathetic. I called the missed extra point to win the game. Not sure if it was the snap, the holder or the kicker, but the ball never got past the line of scrimmage it was kicked so bad. And our defense, I don't know what to say. They have made every team we've played look as if they all have a potent offense. I'm in aggreement, we will not win another game and I hate to say that. Any of you players out there that read this, prove me wrong. But it's gut check time. Hit somebody and catch the football for God's sake.
 13. You know, there's smack talk and then there's trash talk. I don't post here very much and I read all the smack and it's all in good fun, but this crap crosses the line. Talk all you want, but this thread is classless.
 14.

Yeah..the mighty Broncos put up as big as a fight as North Forest did!  :o
Man i would really love to meet you. and show you a real butt whoopin boy! there is nothing i hate more than crosby. oh yeah there is something... stupid crosby fans.
I would bet that the loss to Crosby in your senior season really sticks in your craw, boy.  Judy had the better year anyway and by the way you talk on this forum, you should respect your elders if not your betters.
Haha i give respect where respect is due. i do not respect you. you did not play in this game and if the truth is known when you were in highschool you either rode the pine or played the clarinet. And my betters??? haha are you serious? you make me laugh. i have started on varsity since i was a freshmen under COACH STEWART and i alone have 17 playoff appearances. trust me bud nobody from crosby is anywhere near me let alone better than me :D :D :D :D funny
If you were that good you wouldn't have to be tooting your own horn, whoever you are. Hope I find out so I can watch you on future ESPN Blitz programs. Stewart supposedly coaches, not on how to play the game, but how to play it with integrity and make a player a better person when he leaves his program. You must have missed those practices.
 15. Man, I looked at this website this morning and now I check it out tonight and what the he77 happened. What's up with "Crosby fans can't even spell", we're all goobers, 95% of all Crosby fans suk, a newbie coming on here talking a bunch of smack, BMF calling people out to meet face to face. And there's some Crosby fans talking too much smack as well. Good gosh people, get a grip. It's just a game and if you are native to Crosby, which I am, and native to Dayton, you probably are related. It's good to have a rivalry, but don't lose focus. I think both communities should be proud that two schools 15 miles apart represented our area pretty darn well. As far as Crosby beating Dayton this year, hey, it happens. Dayton may be the better team, but they were not that night. I'm sitting here typing and watching Pittsburg get beat by Cleveland, go figure.
 16.
Congrads to every player on this list-You could make a case for alot of players but the coaches make those decisions.I'll say this;If you have a freshman kicker who's 100% 53-53 PATS 10-10 FGS from as far as 44 yds. HOW does he not make all-dist Kicker(2nd team all-dist)Just saying.
I didn't know that he had numbers like that. Wow, that is very impressive. The Texans could use him! With those sort of numbers I don't understand why he didn't make 1st team either. I know the kid from KP had a big leg. Anybody have his numbers?
 17. Why don't we wait until the entire list comes out before everyone speculates that Crosby got the shaft. I believe we will get our share. I can think of 4 or 5 that should make 1st team out of the 22 chosen. (No I didn't go back and count what's already been posted). If the posts are true, I'd be a little disappointed if Viverette was the MVP. I saw him two games and I thought he was a heck of a ball player and put up good numbers, but I wouldn't have chosen him over Merka or Ploch. Just my opinion. I'm partial of course to Merka, because I saw him on several occasions with just pure determination make things happen. No he didn't have as big of numbers as Vivarrette, but I believe there's more than just numbers. Plus you would think the MVP would have gone to one of the top two teams in the district, as some have stated. Merka, being a junior, probably wouldn't win it over an outgoing senior anyway. Oh and by the way, Dayton wasn't the Superbowl? I've said it once and I'll say it again, it's a credit to Dayton's program that there was some celebrating going on after that game. Plus a little incentive for Franks jumping ship.
 18.
Like i said before...had Dayton played Brenham two rounds ago as did the Indians....everyone would be posting where are the Dayton Fans....its all about the draw... Our half of the bracket had Brenham and Angleton..Daytons half of the bracket consisted of El Campo and Waller...  Easy...Dayton Fans!  would like to pull for yall..but why should we?  All we have to compare  is us beating Crosby by 30 and yall losing to Crosby by 28...Lets see where yall go after this week?
Your stupid statement shows just how stupid you are. PNG fans, hope you throw this bum out of your fan club.
 19. I made every game except the PNG game and unfortunately I missed the last game against Dawson due to a prior commitment. Early on I did not give this team much of a chance, but to my surprise this team really came together. I also do not agree that their defense was slow. Not sure where that is coming from, because if you are not very big, which they are not, and you have a pretty darn successful defense, then you have to be pretty quick. I have seen some of the hardest hits by these guys in quite some time. Not sure what their turnover to take away ratio ended up being, but I bet it was well above to the positive side. I have not spoke with any of the coaches, but I know they have to be extremely proud of how this team came together and how they brought the fans together. I hope this season builds on their overall program. Congratulations on an outstanding season!
 20.
Crosby has a perty decent WR whos at Louisana Tech
Who would that be? Are you talking about Phillip Beck? Pretty sure he graduated last year.
 21. If they want to keep advancing they are going to have to make some adjustments in that secondary. With that said, they have done a h&ll of a job thus far. To advance I believe they are going to have to change things up a little. You have to "dance with the one that brung you" but I think you're going to have to add a wrinkle in the offensive and defensive scheme to advance further. To watch their first game of the year and where they are now is quite amazing.
 22. It's hard to question the coaching, because they keep winning. But everyone I talked to after the game had the same comments. Three things that stuck out. One was we went for it when we should have punted. Two, why not have 2 men deep on kick offs that are suspected onside kicks. And THREE, drop back your secondary so that you do not get beat deep. Do not want to be negative and the coaches know way more than I do, but it just seems too obvious. Maybe someone else can explain. Either way the guys came up big and it was a great win. I have a new name for them, Cardiac Cougars!
 23. First time I've seen PNG was tonight. IMO they are a solid team, well coached, have a good selection of plays, play very good defense, Harmon is solid, but lack the game breaker. The defense really stepped up in the second half and PNG was definitely the better team, but they let BH hang around. Being that I've only seen them this one time and all the hype I've heard, I wasn't as impressed as I was expecting. Sorry PNG fans. Maybe they will prove me wrong. Good luck next round.
 24.
Here is one thing you won't see mentioned. 19-4A champs Crosby were hand spanked by PN-G 37-7. PN-G had to call off the dogs in the second half. So much for the 19-4A faithful. All your dreams will be flushed away like an Old River meth stash come the 14th.
Yeah you're right. But Crosby made some major adjustments since that game. You're underestimating the quality of talent from 19-4A. I will say this, that 20-4A talent level across the board may be better, but I wouldn't overlook Crosby, Dayton and BH. If you do, you may be looking at the back side of the play-offs.
 25.
Congrats on the championship coogs, hope Judy is Ok.  And I know you don't believe if we played again the outcome is the same, 1 out of 10 remember?  You're our rival so the smack is in good fun, so Tater lighten up a little...but honestly, I could care less what you think.
I thought B.M.F. was Bad Mother..... but I guess it really stands for Big Mouth...
