Also, a special congrats to HJ Coach, Janet Davis..... In her 2 years as Head Coach at HJ, she is 20-0 in district.  The work and preparation she puts into her job is second to none!!!

you don't "throw a game" period....  If your goal is to go to Austin, you have to beat good teams any way...

This game was a "perfect storm"  Navasota had some quickness which limited a few things HJ has been able to do relatively easy.  Decision making was poor at times for both teams.... The officials and the bookkeeper / clock keepers were the worst I have seen in a while.  At one point in the 2nd quarter, I watched the bookkeeper erase a score, add a freethrow and mark a foul on a player just to make her book match the scoreboard... That being said, that is not what cost HJ the game... FT's, decisions, etc..... In the girls bracket, the #2 has had the better draw for the past 5 years...

Oh... I know they played stafford....  Hoping that didn't cause any problems,,,,  Good Luck Tues! I hope we crush dist. 223A!!!!!!!!

Did OF cancel a game on their schedule?  I thought they scheduled 21 games?  I have heard that starks is pretty good....

If HF can contest the 3 and rebound, they should win...  I say HF by 12..

Good Luck to OF and HF.... You still have to play the games, but I don't see either team having a problem.... OF has a really nice setup in their half of the bracket....  They have a really good chance to be playing in Huntsville.

WOS sits at 4-5 with a game @ HJ on Tues.. Bridge City is 3-6 and plays OF HF is 3-6 and plays Silsbee Should be a fun Tuesday.....

I am sure that if John Wooden coached in high school he would swear like a sailor!  ::)  There is a big difference between cursing and cursing to a player and cursing at a player......

He is not kidding about Fonde.... I can remember many an afternoon going there to shoot on the side court and watching NBA starters sit for several games in a row because no one would pick them up...

I was going with the Rick Majerus / Larry Tidwell look..... ;) After I ripped my pants in the playoff game last year.... It is standard policy to leave the shirt untucked! haha ;D

How is Kelly doing in district?

With West Orange cancelling their JV games, and the weather cancelling Fridays game, The Lady Hawk JV team ends the season 23-2 and undefeated in district.  Congrats to these ladies on a fine season! With the Varsity losing 3 seniors and an incoming 8th grade group that has yet to lose a game in 2 years, things should continue to look bright in Sour Lake!
