I can't seem to undersatnd why????
SFA85 replied to shorttexas1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Luckily, Central's revolving door included defensive minded coaches starting with Suggs. Second, they usually have their 4x100 relay team sprinkled on either offense or defense. It's only when Central gets away from running downhill to trying to run the Spread is when they get in trouble offensively. Despite their JV getting blownout by PAM week 1, they have numbers and promise coming in the future. The HC may have changed during the years but the assistance have been constant. Another plus.... -

North Shore vs PAM Predictions and keys to victory
SFA85 replied to sfa87's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
For any aspiring small business men from PA, I saw this slogan on some Trinity t-shirts: Back the Black........ If not for this week, then the rest of the season..... I think all the talent and athletcism is equal on both sides.... It will come down to an in-game decision and I'll give the edge to Aymond..... -
If LM can get a win against the Wood, I see a deep playoff run in their future....

Well, looks like Central got back to being themselves by running the ball and throwing when necessary. Y'all know how I feel about Spread teams and their softness. Central proved they could go on the road and get hit in the mouth by Livingston and hit them back. Despite LC-M's win last night, I wasn't impressed. Ozen didn't stay with the bigger running back and their safeties were out of position on both TD's. Like I said, better coach on 11th street will lead to a 3 TD victory @the Butch.....
1st. Central vs LCM is not at the Butch.... It's in BEAR COUNTRY. 2nd. Central should not let LCMs score vs Ozen go to your heads. LCM was in clock management for most of the second half. Coach Crouch doesnt run up the score. 3rd. Scores dont matter in district. Ws and Ls matter. LCM WILL be ready for Central. LCM by 12
Central got a win @Livingston. They'll just go to North Orange and hit those Bears in the mouth....

LC-M at Beaumont Ozen Game Thread/ LCM WINS 24-15 !!!!!!!!
SFA85 replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I've seen 3 generations of LC-M football. The 80's with Homer Rhodes, the 90's with Omey, but this addition is very slow. Ozen's making them look like world beaters...... -
And I'm sure in the DFW, people hate on ET posters. Of course, ET has 3 rings the last 5 years. You gotta win, and win consistantly to shake off all the haters. I know right now NS is tied with PAM in WB the last 2 years but that first year in 21-5A, NS owned both teams by lopsided scores. I dunno, I just think NS will be motivated by last years losses and come out guns a blazing..... Btw, what is the link to the 5A board?

Just look at it like this MHS has beaten NS in football and basketball every time they have played.....look it up.....Now I said that to say MHS will go into this game like they have the last 5 games: HUNGRY, MOTIVATED, AND LOOKING FOR 50
Ah NS put 60+ on PAM 2 football seasons ago.....
yeah but that NS team was different from the one this year. IMO that team had some playmakers if i remember right.
I dunno Scooter, I still think this will come down to the mental part of the game. So far, Kenny hasn't had to make a real time decision for either a first down, or a defensive stop. Made good half time adjustments, especially against Alice, but no in game decisions as of yet....

Galena Park in the top 10 in the Houston area...9/27
SFA85 replied to BrenhamFan's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Funny thing, in a 2 school district such as GPISD, NS has double the kids of old GP/Fidelity High. Who drew the attendance zones. One would think they would want both schools to be 5A.... -

The Yellow Jackets are tied at 9 in the Houston area top 10. For a team that's 4-0 and has the best stats in 19-4A, they're sure quiet... Are there any Galena Park fans on here? If so, enjoy and support your teams success!
i think not. i remember when they was 10-0 and came to south east tx and got the brakes beat off them by ozen so that ranking means nothing!!!
Aw dude, I was there. I was like, this is 'turble, turble, turble' (in my Charles Barkley voice). What was that final score? 63-7 or something?
yes sir! we will see if they have what it takes this year!
They was looking like they didn't even belong on the field with Ozen that night... I remember telling friends, 'this team is undefeated! And this Ozen team lost like 4 games...
That Ozen team was pretty good. I think they lost to PN-G but beat Ned. All 3 finished tied that year and Ozen ran through them like a hot knife through butter. Funny thing, GP beat Dayton in overtime to win district that year. That was back when the older Dugat played and Dayton ran out of the I... -
La Marque barely made the cut by about 8 or 9 students to stay in 4A. The same with El Campo and a few other schools this year.
