Defense spending is Constitutional...you always seem to forget this. And yes, many folks don't like to see defense spending cut when welfare never is.

Saw Ben Carson on RFD TV having a town hall type meeting with the farming community. When asked about subsidies for agriculture, he point blank said he was not for subsidies of any kind...the message didn't seem to be well received. From what I've seen so far, he doesn't change his views based on the crowd he's with.

As long as we are talking about stupid things, don't leave out Bernie Sanders.

The Black Lives matter movement is claiming that some lives don't matter. At the netroots convention (or whatever it is) they booed the Democrat candidate when he said all lives matter, white lives matter. I agree, it is crap...the entire Black Lives Matter movement is crap. Any rational person knows that all lives matter.

Maybe it's time to form "sanctuary cities" that are free from police. Folks that think police are a major problem can choose to go live in these police-free societies and police them themselves. Problem solved for all. Oh, don't expect any support from surrounding non police-free areas when it doesn't work out.

What stood out to me about the story is the total lack of respect these young folks had for a law enforcement officer...couldn't even imagine doing something like this at that age.

There is the way it is, and the way many want it to be.
