1. This will get filled up with Nederland and PNG players quick. Guaranteed
 2. Wayne Stanley is definetly one of the best "defensive" short stops in the area.

 7. Taylor Townsend (Lumberton) hit one against HJ Friday night.
 8.
Murray pitched first 2 innings, getting 5 K's and one ground ball, facing just the 6 batters.
Another Silsbee junior with a great arm. He has the potential to be really good one day, if he can put it all together.
 9.
Interesting proposal, but I have seen lots of youth baseball and I don't think i have ever seen a coach pull his best shortstop from the game and let him go warm up while he watches to see if his pitcher is going to get out of a jam.   It just doesn't happen.  Maybe it should, but the only way it will is if a new rule is written requiring it.
That's what I do. I don't care if I have to pull my best position player for an inning. I know this isn't always the case with other coaches, but if a coach really has the best intentions for a kids health, he will do it as well.
 10. You need to take your next pitcher out of the game the inning before, or on your first mound visit during the inning. Then the next pitcher should have plenty if time to get ready.
 11.
I'm looking for a high school catcher ( junior this year ) for summer ball. More concerned w/ defensive skills and arm than hitting.
Dont yall have a good one at BH?
 12.
I was witnessed to a tragic reality. I saw many, many 10 year olds throwing curveball after curveball after curveball and I was very ashamed. I'm not a Sports Medical Doctor, but 10 years should not be throwing curve ball. I dont the proper age but I've always been told that one should wait to teach a kid until 16 or 17. When should you allow your son to throw the junk ball.??? I was several 10 years walking off the mound holder their arms after 50 pitches.
No earlier than 14.
 13.
Heard the price kid gave up a home run to a freshman
WOW. Kid has 16 k's in 6 2/3 innings, and the best thing you can say is that you heard he gave up a homerun to a freshman. GET A LIFE, and quit trying to bad mouth high school kids on a website.
 14. Im not saying he consistently throws that. He is about 83-85 and topping out as high as 87.
 15.

Don't know alot about the Mitchell kid from Anahuac, but if he is as good as they say, I think his team will give him a good shot by getting them in the top 3.  I still agree with some of the others that Colby, the lefty from Kountze also has a good shot if they make it to the top 3.  The kid didn't play for Kountze last year, and he didn't play summer league for Kountze last year either.  He played summer and fall for some team down in Katy and came back 6'4", sitting at 86, with some nasty stuff.  So nobody has seen this kid for nearly 2 years until now.  He may pull it off.
You are high!!!!! I bet he is decent... If he was throwing 86 I would hear about him also why waste his time in kountze of all places?! They will be lucky to get 5th in the dist.
Colby actually touched 87 this summer in Houston.  I love how all these people say stuff "if he was throwing 86 I would hear about him". From what I have heard, he has thrown 4 inning so far. 2 hits 10 k's. I may be stupid, but that sounds pretty good to me.
 16. Congratulations Kyle.  Well deserved for a kid who works hard to be a good ballplayer.  Ego, Chris does many of positive things for the baseball players in our area. Shame on you for trying to bad mouth him.

He stay consistant at 90-91 he's gonna dominate if he stays healthy. He has a nasty curve and change up.
Lefty throwing 91 huh? Don't see that a lot in highschool. What is his full name and where has he decided to play college?
Funny perfect game has a  Colby Jenkins  from silsbee throwing 83 as of October 2010 and 82 as of June 2010.  Wow so you are saying he gained 7 mph in 4 months  :o.
Jenkins has came back from Tommy Johnand is slowly gaining back his velocity. I have personally seen him touch 88, but not consistantly.  Colby is only a junior, so he hasn't committed anywhere yet falcon, but he has offers.  Not to sure why you are so quick to try and talk smack on a kid.

 20.
You know, I have watched the video several times, and arguably,he got the call right.  Watch the pitcher snowcone the ball, and then, gather it in after the runner crosses first.  Not saying he was safe, but it is at least arguable.
So you can't snowcone a ball, and have control of it?
