1. Im not trying to knock the sundevils in any way.  My point is this.... You can take a kid that doesn't play select ball at all, vs a kid that plays for the sundevils.  If both players are equally talented, BOTH will get a scholarship.  Yes the sundevils provide more opportunities than a kid who doesn't play select ball, but as stated above, if both kids are equally talented, they will both receive scholarships.  Not because they play for the sundevils, but simply because the kid is good.
 2. The sundevils are absolutely a great organization.  I am not trying to say they aren't.  The fact of the matter is, if a kid is GOOD ENOUGH they will get a scholarship, with or without the sundevils. It just seems to me, that all you hear is the SUNDEVILS got my boy or this boy a scholarship, when in fact it is the kids talent that got them the scholarship.  Oh and by the way, yes most of the sundevil players sign somewhere.  They usually get the best talent around, because everything is FREE. Which usually translates to a high percentage of their players signing somewhere.
I do thank God every day for the Sundevils and Mr. Ferguson! His organization has provided my son with opportunities that my wife and I could have never afforded him.
So are you implying that without the sundevils, your son would not have a scholarship?
Since many LCM players played Babe Ruth in Mid County last summer I look for 2 guys to make a contribution who will probably make their debut on varsity, Ryan Waddell and Alec Blem.
Waddell can flat out hit.

 6.
Brady is a heck of a ballplayer and could help any team. He hopefully will play for them, because he has potential to play at the college level. And Mack, I have to say one more thing to clear ignorance. Batbreaker I think it's sad that you felt it necessary to create an account just to speak on this subject. I also find it funny that the fact Bell is the coach of the fall, it must mean that is a form of politics? In case you don't know, high school coaches cannot be apart of the fall program, meaning a parent must coach. Bell's dad was nice enough to put forth the time and effort to give these kids a place to play this fall. Don't think that has anything to do with Corbin's playing time. He will be the ace again this year, because of how he pitched last year. Not because of the fact his dad coached the fall team. Quit attacking players and their family members. If you have a problem, contact the coach.. Leave your personal vendetas out of this. Now, this is the last time I will comment on this subject, regardless of your response.
Don't worry AJ, one day you wake up and see the world with both eyes open.
 7. Hey AJ can you tell me who the coach is for the Lumberton high school fall ball team?
 8. Maybe the reason Lumberton struggles in this district is because, some of the better players are on the bench. Politics, personal vendetta, I don't know.

Every Kid plays on A "select team" now its just a money deal.
That might be the dumbest comment anyone could write on this topic.
This is comming from the same guy Who posted this in another topic "Lumberton shouldn't be considered. Their coach is too stupid to play his best players." Basically you are Porbably the dad paying way too much for your kid to be good (which apparently is not working), but whatever floats your boat buddy. I do love however, how you love to use the words stupid and dumb when talking about other people. such class
Actually I am not a parent, therefore I can't be "the" dad paying way too much for my kid to be good.

But still a heck of a showing at that event.
The Sundevils find the best talent. Period.
Yea, kinda like George Steinbrenner does...
it's really sad to see people dog a man with money who is trying to( very successfully if I may say) help get as much local talent to the next level.  His program has proven itself time and time again and I for one and very thankful he and his coaching staff saw the potential in my son and added him to the roster( we are from SE).    I guess some people think his money would be better spent somewhere else and that's a shame.  So many young men wouldn't be where they are today without this organization.  So thank you Chip and all your coaches for all your time and effort with our boys!
Yes they would. If they are good, colleges will find them.  Sounds like the sundevils are getting all the credit for the kids. Heck either the kid is good and gets a scholarship, or he is not good, and doesn't.
 12.
Ben Broussard was a supplemental round draft pick by Cincy, a "Senior Sign" after MSU, not out of high school. Fackler
I know, I played baseball with Ben.  The guy didn't have his facts straight. First he wasn't the first pick, and second he played a little higher up than a couple of years of "semi pro".

Some how mine even got a scholarship for summer school, I asked no question and got no lies...
????? he signed with Lamar?? Lamar is a D1..... Or was he recruited by Lamar and turned them down and went JUCO???   Lamar does not offer many scholarships to SETX.  If Gilligan did, he would have a better team then he already has....... He expects these kids to come scholarship free....... He is obsessed on getting kids from NY (where he is from) and Australia (go scouting trip right paid by school). In one case, told a kid from Hardin Jefferson that he was no good and could not play at a D1 level. The kid went JUCO and was all conference, then got a full ride to Mc Neese and was their #1 pitcher for a couple years, then was drafted as a #1 pick in simi pro and played up north for a couple of years.  Gilligan was pissed at the JUCO coach did not send him back and would not send him any more players.  This kid went and tried out, Gilligan did not send him there........ Don't understand him at all.........
Who are you talking about? There has never been a #1 pick out H J.
 14.
I appreaciate the emails and remarks on the List, but I am not getting locations and FEES all these guys charge, and Id like to see that included. If you could send that, it would be helpful. Thanks.
If your gonna do that, shouldn't you include some credentails as well?
 15. Lumberton also has a kid by the name of taylor townsend, who might be better than corbin bell, but we will see how politics play into this.
 16. Hey chris what time does the game start tonight, and is it free admission?
 17. Are they gonna sue little league next, for not making the players use wood bats?
 18. Yeah the sundevils are very succesful. I bet i could put together a very succesful team if I had someone to pay for all expenses, as well as send the parents to cancun after the season for vacation. Oh yeah let's not forget the kicker, fly in kids from other states to play on the team as well.
 19. Looks like mr. know it all bulldg was wrong about this.
 20. Am i the only one who sees him playing football as a BAD decision? Why risk the scholarship (that is not in ink yet) on football. Baseball is his future, and playing football does nothing but put him at risk for potential injury. I hope this injury does not turn out to be something serious. If so you can bet on augie pulling that offer, off the table.
 21. Trey Rinando? LMAO Nothing against this guy, but he is a pitcher. Not sure i would want my son learning how to hit from a guy who was a pitcher.
