  1. Right on Purple Pride. I enjoy talking football here and reading some of the funny things people write but I personally get tired seeing BH getting bashed by a bunch of "experts". 99% of which have never seen them play a single down this year. Yeah this year... not last year or 20 years ago..... blah blah. Thanks to the respectful people here that discuss, opinionate, and humor us....SFA85 .. Just do us a favor and keep the pictures safe and tucked away on your PC with the others. It might be funny somewhere else, but not here. Especially trying to down the moms that get on here. I hope all the boys that get on here take as much exception to it as I do...... I'll just go to the game and watch BH do their thing. OH is there gonna be a meet and greet tomorrow? I'd like to meet the good people I've gotten to know here. LETS GO EAGLES!!!! Good Luck Dayton!
  2. Easy to do with a keyboard i guess............ Anyway, Enough weak district, we got speed, sendin BH home like in 1985 talk. This isnt the same team that played Kville last year and it isnt the team that lost back in the 80's or whenever it was someone talks about on here. Theres a whole different chemistry with some very key motivated players back from last year. Most of the BH bashers havnt even seen them play or get their info from OTHER BH doubters. Its well documented on here that BH went 10-0 but played a week district schedule (even though CE King and GP both were ranked in the top 5 in total offense in the area until last week) and will be sent home in a blowout. Think what you want to. BH will be there to ready to play.
  3. I feel like if its a good game 1st half.....then 2nd half will be better and BH has an edge. BH excells in the 2nd half. They have all year. Gonna be a great game to see. BH is not a slow team either if thats what your anticipating. Whole lotta speed over there as well. I understand that Central is bigger overall and they have certain expectations and its ok to be confident. But dont underestimate BH.
  4. Oh ..... hats off to GP in their preparing for BH. They definitly came ready to play last night. Mr. Magaffie and the other y-jackets are very good athletes. Good luck next week.
  5. All I can say is...... well I cant say much because I lost my voice at the game last night!!! We were soaked, the players were soaked, and BH came out in that second half and took that game back like the winners that they are. THese BH fans are so dedicated and behind their Eagles. Like I said a couple of days ago, these BH Eagles arent going to lay down for any team out there. GP is a very very good team, but BH left it all out on the feild in the win. And all this living in the past with the BH haters is a mute issue. These boys didnt play on those teams..... they REALLY DONT CARE how bad BH got beat 20 years ago, they dont care how much you wish they would loose. They are a good team in their own right and they care about right here, right now and going as far as they can. And if next week happens to be the last game for this team (hopefully not) you can bet on this...... Central is gonna know they played a good football team and It wont be an easy game. Later
  6. Colorado? Lucky dawg......... I'm getting anxious to get out of here (work) and head to the stadium. Gonna try and get there early if possible.
  7. Yeah if there was no such thing as playoffs there would be NO shame in playing and winning the way they have. But I too feel like they have alot more in them too. These seniors and a few of juniors still have a bad taste from the Kville game last year and they dont need anyone to refresh their memory. If or when BH loses a playoff game, It will not be from a lack of effort.
  8. Thats a tough one.... MVP means without that player, the team is significantly .....different. Mason Fisher or Blake Patton if you go with an offensive player. Defensivly you have K. Cox, J Sexton, M Fisher to name a few. But the one player for BH, if removed from the defense, that would show the most effect is I think DT - Cameron Swart. Without his strenght and quickness the pass rush will suffer and the inside run stopping ability of this team would be the most effected. Theres not another player there that has his attributes that could jump in and it not have an adverse effect. Fisher is a standout on both sides of the ball. Makes incredible plays all the time. So either M Fisher or Swart.
  9. Thanks...... Just venting & speakin a little of the dern truth...... To come prepared, not let up or get complacent, and make adjustments on the fly is what good teams do. 9-0 is a great season and noone can take that from them........ Good luck to Dayton as well! Nice job over there.
  10. I gotta say Don Price and staff for such a successful year moving up to 4A with such a small pool of players at that level. There was alot of experience leftover from last year defnsivly , but little offensivly. A great job.
  11. I'm personally tired of the downplay of BH's successful season so far. All I hear is "well if they/yall beat Bellville, I'll give ya props", "well if they/yall beat King, I'll give ya props". Well? did it. You know its impossible for every district to have a stable of playoff teams. 21-4A is has 8 teams. The top 4, BH 6-0, Crosby & GP 5-1, and NC 4-2 are all talented teams. I dont understand why there is this "weak district" theory being cast over these teams and especially the success of BH. King and GP are both ranked in the top 5 in the area in total offense, Kings #2 in rushing, GP 3rd in passing. Weak? not in my book. Prior to this season there was alot of happy people when BH got moved up to 4A figuring they'll get their butts kicked by bigger schools. Well it hasnt happened so there must be a good dang reason huh. Well I'll tell ya why it hasnt happened. Because those young men have a tremendous work ethic, they're coachable, theyre fast, strong, competitive, they have character, and most of all they are "winners". (There just aint nothing like an athlete that hates losing.) Not because of a "weak" district. When this year started, BH didnt know for sure who the QB would be, who would fill in the spots left in the OL, position changes on defense. There was a huge learning and teaching process that took place this year along with playing at a new level and games were won. I personally couldnt be more proud of each one of them and what theyve accomplished so far this year. And to read crap like the quote above over and over really ticks me off. Been hearing it all year, since we were 1-0. I'm not making any predictions but these yong men arent going to lay down for Central or anyone else they might play. Weak district? whatever..... I know there have been some posts that would make others want to root against BH, but BH is a good solid team and they DO deserve some credit and respect from area's outside the district. My fingers are tired........later!
  12. From the looks of the box scores, (which I know are not always a true reflection), It seems that BH needs to get back on that passing game vs. GP. I think it will be critical to be successful against them. Need to get the ball down the feild some. Just a educated hunch. Anyone know much on their defense? What set do they run Off/Def? I havnt heard much on them. BH 31 - GP21
  13. I sure hated to miss this one, but I'll be able to make everything from here on. The way it started it was killin me to be here at work. Sounds like the defense had their hands full and the offense had trouble getting in a rhythm. Great job finishing though!! Way to go Eagles....... GP will be another test. I appreciate the updates tonight BH89-2
  14. I think they will.... BH just stopped a 4th and goal at the 3. Then Blake ran a 95 yard TD run. BH 14 - King 8
  15. Makes me proud that others enjoy his play as much as I do. He's really geting that Rover position down pretty good I think. And yeah it would be sweet to make it deep into the playoffs. I'm clear for at least 4 more weeks after this. If it goes longer than that I'll just have to figure something out. I heard Little Nuggett is hiring. .... Theyd probably make me work nights too though. OK the game.... Watching Blake in practice here lately, his throws are looking really good. Alot more accurate and not floating them. He and the rest of the offense are getting it all to come together at the right time. Rainey has been back for a few weeks now on the O Line... Peterson, the soph. center, played well last week. I just feel the Defense has been there and still getting better. Offense is getting alot more consistant . I guess I'm not telling yall anything you havnt seen.... good luck BH!!!!
  16. I was at practice a few times this week and Blake looked perfectly healthy to me. OL Chris Carrier (hurt last week) didnt contact drill but still may play. Last game at BH (home game) for these seniors and I expect alot of intensity and a big win. I have to work fri. night with NO WAY OUT! Hopefully I'll get a contact at the game to keep me updated.... :x
  17. Thanks very much..... I can say that I dont think that there is a selfish or "me" person on the BH team. There have been several times the past 3 weeks where it wouldve been really easy for one of our kids to loose their composure on the field but they just go back to the huddle and get ready to play. Thanks again.
  18. Gonna be toughest test so far...for both teams. BH 31 King 14. I just feel like BH defense is gonna be too tough. Especially 3rd quarter and on. BH offense has to keep the ball and sustain some scoring drives. I havnt seen or heard what Kings offense does offensivly but they seem to pile up mostly rushing yards. Only 7 passing attempts last night. So in saying that. Do they run inside or out? If its inside.... let me introduce you to Cameron Swart, Joe Sexton, and Daniel Mcswain..... Try something else. Outside? Just dont see alot there either. Little and the rest of the secondary with be there to greet. King will have their moments and some opportunities, but this defense is fast and aggressive. BH has got speed and coaching to prepare them for anything they may see out there. Gonna be a good one. Props to Chris Bradshaw for filling in at QB and doing a great job getting the ball to the playmakers and keeping composure in the pocket. Couldnt be more proud of these guys.
  19. 1 little correction tho..... It was Andrew Little that blocked the punt. Great job Eagles!!
