I realize in tournaments there are situations where the game has to cease with that circumstance.  But I am sorry, like crying, there are no ties in baseball.
I understand your thinking and agree with your comments.  I notice on the UIL website that 2 teams playing last year in the State Baseball Tournament had records that showed ties.

3.
Ethan Franklin is as good a freshman pitcher as I have ever seen. He did a great job last night. Started getting a little tired in the 6th (had two of his 4 BB's in that inning) Franklin ended with 6 1/3 IP, 1 run, 3 hits, 8 K's, 4 BB's. Very good job. Buna had the big inning in the 2nd, getting 3 extra base hits (2 doubles and a triple) coupled with 3 Warren errors, scoring 7 of their 8 runs. Buna had a total of 7 hits with 5 of those being extra base hits (4 doubles, triple). Big bats for Buna: Ethan Franklin    1-3, triple, run scored, 2 RBI Braidon Franklin  1-3, double, run scored, 2 RBI Richard Waaldren 2-4, double, 2 runs scored The 6th inning was Warren's best threat as they had the bases loaded with one out, After giving up a single to his first batter faced, scoring the first Warren run, Kolton Clark then got a strikeout followed by a grounder to the pitcher to end the threat. Clark finished with 0 runs, 1 hit, 3 K's, in 1 2/3 innings of relief. Dylan Watts took the loss, going 4 complete innings, giving up 8 runs (4 earned), 6 hits, 3 K's, BB, 2 HBP Big bat for Warren: Brandon Choate  1-3, SAC, run scored Hunter Holloway  1-3, RBI
Thank you Setxsports and AggiesAreWe for supporting sports in Southeast Texas!!!  Thanks AggiesAreWe for broadcasting the Buna/Warren game!!!
4. We are standing at a high school baseball game.  The visitors side has the highway behind it.  I happened to glance over at a car coming down the road.  As it approaches it runs off into the ditch and tee bones a light pole.  The pole breaks and lays right down the center of the vehicle.  Of course, everyone is watching now and we start to move that way to help and immediately the car begins to sling mud from the front tires and backs out from under the pole and back onto the road.  We are all amazed that it wasn't stuck, the driver could still drive and that the car was still running!  With smoke boiling and the engine sputtering the car takes off down the road.  About 3 minutes later 2 DPS cars come flying by. Then about and hour later the 2 DPS cars come back through and the car involved was riding on the back of a wrecker!!! We were told an underage driver took the vehicle for a ride!!!
5. With the rain shutting us down, for the most part, what is the funniest thing you've ever seen happen at a baseball game?  On or off the field.
6. Lufkin Central is a 3A school located above Lufkin on hwy 69. Central Heights is located above Nacogdoches, on hwy 59 and is a 2A school.  aka Nacogdoches-Central Heights
7. I guess Hamshire-Fannett fans would have really stripped a gear if they could have heard the "Bucket Brigade".  Buna rode them all the way to state in 2008!!!  Beaumont Surprise did a great article on them!!!
8. My question is what made league ball the standard?  Why couldn't one say league ball is hurting select ball?
9. Buna Lady Cougars won!!!  Won by somewhere around 20 points.
10. 57-17 is pretty close to the score.  Don't hold me to it!!!
11. Jacob Clark with a complete game in 5 innings!  Allowed 1 run and 2 hits!  8k's and 2 walks!!!  66 pitches!
12. There is enough talent to be winning more games.  Pitching is lacking for a mlb roster.  So, work on pitching.  I posted last year that they needed a new batting coach and was chastised on here by others.  A few weeks later Bagwell started to work with the batters and the astros began to win.  I think we need a new batting coach again and the right pitching coach could get more out of the pitching staff.  SHAKE THINGS UP!!!  Its a big business and when someone does not perform they need to go.  I have confidence in Brad Mills.  We just need others to be held accountable!
13.
every team in the district really only has 1 good starter its not just hardin, I promise you that!!!
Buna has 2 good starters.  J. Clark and R. Walden.  Both beat Hardin this year.
14. Jacob Clark pitched a GREAT game!!!  A COMPLETE GAME with 11 k's, 3 walks, 2 hbp and 8 hits!!!  His last district game, as a Cougar (Senior), and the district title on the line!!!  The Cougar defense behind him was rock solid!!!  Buna hit the ball all night!  Smart base running and great coaching moves helped keep Buna on top all night too!!!  Those Anahuac Panthers never gave up and fought to the end, as they always do!!!
15. Hey Critter, J. Clark, from Buna, hit number 3 last week!!!  Thanks for doing this!!!
16.
Over the years I've seen some pretty darn good small school pitchers, Beck from Woodville,Douglass from Colmesneil and McCabe from Spurger to name a few. With the season at about the mid way point I haven't seen anyone in 2-a get anywhere close to the mid 80"s.Most of the kids I've seen are throwing 78-79.The kid from Buna, lil lefthander seemed to have real good control of several pitches.I got to see Gray from Warren the other nite and he aslso had real good control of 3 pitches. No dominant hurlers on the small school scene that I've seen this year but definitely some young kids that can keep you in a game.
The "lil lefthander" from Buna is Jacob Clark!
17. Coach Terrier won his 100th game last night as Head Coach of the Buna Cougars!!! Congratulations Coach Terrier!!!
