2. Can't wait for this one!  It's gonna be a great game!  Proud of those "LADY COUGARS" and their effort all year!!! Take it to 'em!!!
3. Woodville did not tie Buna last year.  Buna won by 1.  Woodville scored when one of Buna's starters came off the mound and some guys pitched who hadn't thrown since before distrist started.  The only tie Buna had last year was with Bridge City.

Pitchers like Franklin or Marshall at Kounze are babies. Those guys are Soph. and are not going to have the experience but what colleges look at with pitchers is project-ability. Guys like Twine are a great athlete and a pitcher and I feel leads the pack this year, but when you look at a team and where they will finish or should finish, it is not and will not be all about one guy. Most teams won't survive  with one great pitcher and one or two hitters. I think you have to look at the total picture, look at depth in pitching and position fulfillment. If you want to gauge a program than it all goes back to project-ability and broad spectrum depth as a whole. One more thing I think alot of programs miss the boat when it comes to the coaching and support of JV programs. JV feeds your program.
I threw out names simply because he decided to by saying "Can't see them stand up to a Howell, a D Williams, a Franklin, or even E/C with their three All state players...." And you keep saying take out CH or without CH when the simple fact is that CH was part of that district. And they count toward what you're calling a weak district. Buna and Warren are the only two teams that could've competed with the top three in that district last year. Which was proven to be true when Woodville tied both of them. Deweyville did not compete much when they came to Woodville. Played a double header and lost both by good margins.
4. Should be a good game. Go Cougars!!!
5. Hard to say with this district changing.  Buna moving to 21-3A and Warren into district 20-2A.  Buna was 1st in that district for all 6 years they were in it and Warren has been 2nd for the last 2 years.  Hardin has been third, I know, for at least the last couple of years.  Should be interesting!!!
6. Congrats to all the young men!!! Once again, it was an exciting year in 24-2A!!!  The talent in this district knows no end!
7. If both teams play their game it will be some fine baseball! Can't really say much about this series that is not obvious.  Big at bats, small ball execution and productive outs will be key!!!  BUNA COUGARS in 3!!!
8. I know their pitchers are back.  How many position players did Central Heights graduate last year?
9.

The Ags beat Houston Baptist 7-2 to improve to 20-5 on the season.  3 game conference series at home vs. Missouri this weekend
Its parent weekend this weekend so if any golden triangle fans wanted to come watch a game, i'd wait foe another one.. All the games are sold out already i think and general admission will be hard to come by i believe. Just trying to say y'all some gas..
Exactly what I figured.  We thought about heading over to see the offspring but was worried they would sell out.  Think I'll stay home and watch my Lamar Cardinals!!!
10. Joseph Clark - Buna.  Starting 3rd base and batting 2 hole for the Cougars
11. This is not news!!!  You know you kind of hope, some day, the writers of these supposed stories figure out what is news and what is not!!!  The Beaumont Surprise is a joke!!!  They will write stories about you when you are down and never show up when you've battled back and are on top!!!
12. Great game played by both teams!  Richard Walden pitched an excellent game!  Clutch performance by Joseph Clark coming in with a 1 run lead, bases loaded, no outs, in the bottom of the 7th and getting it done!!!  The Cougar defense was awesome!!!  I was involved in a triple play one time, as a player, when I played little league and have seen 1 or 2 happen in games.  But I have never seen one end a game like that!!!  Great job Cougars!!!
