  1. Wow..Tough way to end a tournament, but its soccer and those things happen!  The Keeper is a talented Sophmore and will only get better.  1-1 Against Longview Pine Tree who was ranked #3 in Region II in TASCO's preseason rankings is a positive considering that PNG is still banged up.  The Creekview Team is very good and Ranked # 10 in the Dallas Area for 5A teams.

Coach Bates always schedules a tough pre-season to get her team not only ready for district, but the playoffs.  I can assure you this team will still be the team to beat in District 38....

Going for 3 District Championships in a row...Good Luck Lady Indians!
  2. I back you RIP...HOW? Can anyone damn the club teams?  If not for the coaches and trainers here locally that put in the time outside of High School Soccer; to make our kids better?  We should thank them for their efforts and for making our High School teams more competitive!  COME ON bear....??? >:(
  3. I will agree in the fact that Kelly is loaded with Talent; play incredible soccer and always compete at ANY level of High School Soccer! GREAT group of girls!  I believe the area realizes that they are the team to play in this area; if you really want to challenge your team!  I have enjoyed the past matches against PNG...they were epic battles and our girls knew they had to come ready to play!  Congrats again on a GREAT showing in Houston and good luck with St. Agnes once yall play again!
  4. I was waiting for this one...I knew it was coming; and ready to take my medicine!  I made a post that im sure you read regarding our first loss of the tournament to Hendrickson! I am sure they went on to win the tournament; but I have not found out any finals yet.  As far as Day 2; our girls jumped out to leads in both games but could not hold on! We have two key senior players returning this week; but they will have to work into soccer shape!  As i have said before...I feel this team will make some noise in the playoffs; but I also respect the BIG 3 of Region 3! Until the girls beat them...you have every right to make the post you have!

Whoa!  Ran into a Freight Train!  Knew Hendrickson would be a tough...returning their entire team from a successful 2010 season and the district MVP!  What I didnt know was that they would add a freshman who is an absolute phenom and as a "soccer" fan....was a joy to watch!  (that was hard to say) being an Indian Fan!  #77 Mikaela Harvey was incredible!  As I asked what "Club" team she played for? I was told that she was a member of the U14 National Team and invited to participate with the U15 National Team!  For you soccer fans out there...you know that means she is one of the top players in the nation for her age and it showed!  Great job Girls for fighting till the end!

    Harvey Strikes Again!
    Oct 11 2010 - Lonestar Staff
Mikaela Harvey continues to impress!  She was a standout for the u14 National Team event in Carson, California.  Harvey has now been called up to the u15 National Training Camp, November 19-25th, in Sunrise, Florida.  Michelle French, who ran the U14 camp, spoke highly of Harvey, saying, “She’s really mobile in her ball skills & individual techniques. To have someone that has that great control of the ball in the midfield is particularly really helpful to connect passes; her ability to relax when she has the ball is a great asset she carries.”

  6. Ha...I was wondering what it was going to take to get you back FF?  I simply have stated that the girls are off to a good start! The popularity comment was soley due to the fact I felt the Lady Indians deserved to be ranked #4 behind the Big Three.  After last years loss to Brenham in 2OT and 90 percent of the team returning; feel this could be their year to shake it up! Welcome back and good luck to Friendswood this year!  By the way...how did the girls fare against Brenham; Midway and A&M Consolidated this weekend?
  7. Great Start for the Lady Indians...even if they are "scrimmages"  They have outscored their opposition 16-2.  With two of their opponets being ranked in front of them pre-season.  I thought that the rankings were once again a HOUSTON popularity vote...and that the Lady Indians deserved to be #4 behind Brenham!  They have already earned that respect in week 1...Cant wait for the rest of the year....
