  1. Eventually WOS and LCM will verge, i dont see why they shouldn't be together. I know people will argue on the placement of the school, "o it's to close to them, its to far away from us" and that wouldnt be the only arguement. I attended WOS and i have some of the best memories there, aswell as others i am sure from there or other schools. But while i went there i just thought of how much better overall we could be if we were one school district in Orange county. I dont know if merging BC would happen, but WOS and LCM forsure. If WOS and LCM merged, how someone said prior we would have some of the best team sports and academics around. Between WOS and LCM that i know of, there are so many very talented teachers and coaches that would help the students thrive even more than they alrdy do. Aswell as the students, there are very smart kinds in the orange county area and great athletes. I think it would be a win win situation because we would draw alot of eyes towards us with academics and sports. But i have always seen it as a competition between the schools on who can have what. If its suppose to be for the kids i say merge them because they get even a better opportunity. But im sure all the WO and Mauriceville people have thought of before and i m sure they all have their likes and dislikes. But yeah time will tell.....
  2. Last year was a good game, but WOS should have won by much more i believe. If i recall correctly it was SHS' homecoming and it had rained prior to the game. Dont get me wrong silsbee came out fired up in which they should have. This year its at WOS and the field is primed for a good head to head game between the schools, but i say WOS wins by 3 scores. Silsbee will score twice, either being 2 td or td-fg
  3. Size wont be a factor, every game the opposing teams out "sizes" WOS. The factor is conditioning and well no one beats WOS at conditioning......just ask kirbyville
  4. Gillispie really did do a great job in turning our program around. You can't do anything but thank him for it, but him leaving the way he did, left the A&M faithful with a sour taste in our mouth. I wish the best of luck to him, but dang he left ALOT of talent in College Station. People are going to be really impressed in the depth they have this year. They have a freshman thats 7 ft, jone's whose 6-9 (i believe) theres 4 all together that are over 6-8/6-9. The things they will have to work on a little bit will be the point gaurds, but were in good hands with kirk, sloan, carter, and holmes they will work it out. Also, Nathan walkup will be interesting to watch. But all this means squat until they show they can work and play together. Should be interesting when it all starts up, Kansas will be good aswell as Texas and Tech. And out of conference, Louisville will be a force that will be fun to watch.
  5. Even though their ranked somewhat high, watch out fo rthe Aggies. It will be hard to replace acie but they have enough talent to fill the holes. Hopefully we will get to play Kentucky!
  6. well sure they can, but........... i think it will be WOS again this year. But i really dont know what silsbee has, i haven't sen them play this year. No doubt though that the silsbee wos game will be a good one, but its in orange and wos will come away with the w.
  7. Even if WOS did lose they would own up to it. The WOS posters are not on here making a fool of themselves. Kirbyville shows good support for ur team but its just so annoying of all the smack yall talk and evey year its a blowout and yall arent to be seen on this board till the next football season. I am glad WOS doesnt have any one that over does it, WOS posters post facts. This is not to everyone just the select few that know who they are. Good luck to both teams and stay injury free.
  8. Thinking of the Giddings game, with Kirbyville is disrespectful. ;D This game for sure will be a dandy but i really do not see kirbyville scoring more than twice in any way field goal or td. The stangs d has been stellar and they have play against some very good teams. I just dont see kirbyville being able to do something that Dayton, Bay City, or LCM couldn't, eventhough we lost to baycity. Ofcourse anything can happen but i think it will just be another year. WOS by 2td
  9. Kentucky @ South Carolina Oklahoma vs. Texas Oklahoma St. @ Texas A&M Nebraska @ Missouri Kansas @ Kansas State Georgia @ Tennessee Virginia Tech @ Clemson Florida @ LSU Ohio State @ Purdue Cincinnati @ Rutgers Oklahoma and Texas both are 0-1 and is a shocker. This week i think oklahoma shows up and plays their game but i hope texas can pull off the win. Okie st is looking good also, beating tech in a thiller two weeks ago and well A&M has its moments. If the aggies can establish a run game and throw the ball like against baylor the aggies should be abel to pull it off........i hope. I havent watched many of the other teams but LSU, no one will beat them. They are the 07 champs this year, mark it down. Best of luck to the Texas squads, send them okies packin
  10. Good win for lumberton, when is the last time lumberton went to the playoffs?? just curious
  11. i guess HF got there wish in keeping the game close, im not sure on stats or anything. The stangs need to kick it in gear and get some more points, these close games aren't good for your health
  12. 7 - 0 WOS with, i think 7min left in the 2nd Q
  13. Keep telling yourself that, its a great motivator
  14. I can promise you all that WOS will not over look anyone. And the part about "everyone will be gunning for WOS"..........whats new. I agree kirbyville will give the best fight, atleast I hope they do because it's in their backyard. But with all that said as long as WOS stays healthy they will have another district title in their books. 1.WOS 2.Kirbyville 3.Silsbee/Jasper
  15. The game was a good test but we should have won. The hit on hypo towards the end was a huge miss, the refs blew it. But you cant blame them b/c WOS should of had 2 more touchdowns than they did. But owell lets get started on another District Championship
  16. hmm bridge city has plenty things they need to focus on.........
  17. WOS was not on an off night. The fields were wet and it evened the teams out tremendously. Our offense is speed, and it being wet did not help. Silsbee had many chances to win that night, but............. you know the ending. I thought they did well to the circumstances wet, homefield advantage and silsbee's homecoming.(i think it was H.C)
  18. thats great new for texas, hopefully she will accept
  19. the year that she had B. James, B. Scott, D.Riggs, J. henderson, and Elissa( i dont think is the right speeling) they should have had gone alot further for sure. In my opinion like some others they had state championship athletes at all positions. But i am not a coach, but just my opinion
