1. This district is nearly too difficult for anybody to run the table; however, I'd say EC has the best odds of doing it - IMO 1) EC 2) Newton 3) AP, Kirbs, Woods Good luck to all teams & go Panthers!
 2.

I've got mixed feelings about this situation... a)  If Taylor isn't selected, will he stay and still be a huge factor in AP athletics...or even want to stay? b)  If Taylor is selected and is successful, will he stay and not go for a better gig (bigger school) in 2-5 years? c)  Not so sure Taylor will have as much control as he'd like to in the Barnyard, but I could be pawn..I mean wrong... d)  Outsourcing may be the logical choice here, hiring within could backfire IMO e)  Whomever is selected must get the girls program turned around, period... [move]Good luck to all applicants, and yes, there will be griping no matter what!!![/move]
Good to hear from you again!
;) ;D 8)

 4.
This thing will come down more than likely to a Week 10, winner take all game between Woodville and Buna.... It's amazing to see what has happened to Anahuac the last two weeks.... Although, considering they lost Albritton as early as they did, it was equally impressive what they accomplished before the last two weeks....
Yeah, anytime you lose a D1 player in this size classification, it's gonna be very difficult to have as much success.  But with that being said, I do agree with you in that they may have overachieved leading up to the last 2 weeks.  Bottom line is you still have to put yourself in position to win each game; whether that be the players, coaches, or both that need to make that happen.  In this situation, to be quite honest...it's time for a change.
 5. I know Andy's in a better place, but it was Anahuac who ran him off...I won't say which head coach/AD ran him off, but it was right before Ricks, Speights and Terry were reaching their prime... Good luck to your Bucs neighbor...although, North Dakota isn't really that close!
 6. Chambers County should've never let him go...could've combined EC & AP years back to form a large 3A or small 4A and there would be lots of trophys displayed @ G'Fest & Rice Fest - just saying...
 7.
I once saw EC turn the ball over 9 times vs. Buna.... and lost.
Yeah, but your Bucs made the playoffs that year, right?  Not looking so hot for AP right now....must beat Newton @ Newton... Now, should I tell you how I really feel? 8)
 8. You can still win with 7 turnovers...but how in the **** do you turn the ball over 7 times? :-X
 9. EC vs. AP is definitely a rivalry game...no if, and's, or but's about it. Now...while I do agree everyone can coach from the sidelines, it doesn't take a village idiot to understand what "being outcoached" means.  I'm glad I wasn't there last night, and I know Albritton and Raymond are out, but they were there last year = same result.  If you can execute, then the plays should work.  When plays aren't working, it's vital to make halftime adjustments, there's just no imagination here and I've been saying it for years.  We probably do have the best athletes in the district hands down, but you can't teach desire nor can you teach imagination.  38-0 is unacceptable in my book, so blame has to fall somewhere...it's just that simple.  :-\
 10.
Anahuac has a good team. #23, #4 and #42 are some good players. [glow=red,2,300]The stats I was looking at was that they only throw the ball 15 times all year and completed 8 of them. When the sweep did not work they had nothing to go to[/glow]. Good luck with the rest of the season. Hopefully some of the hurt players can come back and help with the rest of the season.
See 2009, 2010 and of course now...2011.  3rd time isn't always the charm, so GAC! [move][glow=red,2,300]GRAB A CLUE[/glow][/move]
 11. Thank God I'm in Norh Dakota...congratz neighbors, yet again.  EC owns Coach ehBayBay...period  :-\
 12. Well it should be a tough fought / close game..especially after the last 2 seasons!  Gotta go with my Panthers, but in any case, a Chambers County team will come out on top! AP - 34 EC - 24 Good luck to both teams!
 13. Who else besides Albritton were lost?  I'm sort of thankful that I haven't been on here!  :-\
 14. Geez, where have I been!!!  Move up to North Dakota 6wks ago and just found out about Albritton being out for the season!  Per the topic, AP still wins this game, but wow.... how unfortunate for Justin and how fortunate for the rest of the district.  Guess I need to pay more attention, just too far away.  In any case, Go Panthers! Anahuac - 48 Kountze - 20
 15.
You people are crazy if you dont believe that Newton will be back on top.  1. Newton  (no doubt! with no district loses). 2. Anahuac 3. East Chambers 4 Woodville 5. Buna 6. Hardin 7. Kountze 8. Warren
Can't be back on top when they've never been on top to begin with - at least not in this newly formed district.  My prediction: 1) Anahuac 2) Woodville 3) Newton / EC
