Twelve consecutive district titles says it all. Athletically? I believe we have overall winning records against Nederland in every sport except boys' and girls' basketball, track and possibly boys' soccer (it'd be very close either way). I know we have winning records in football, volleyball and softball and our boys' golf team (which made it to state this year) has been unmatched for several seasons. Baseball is admittedly a question mark after the last few seasons but I believe the record does favor PN-G overall. In the performing arts? Our choir has nine consecutive "Outstanding" ratings at the state competition in San Antonio to its name and our band has been to the state marching competiton numerous times while Nederland's has yet to go once. And I know you're not talking about fan bases. ;)
Oh bama kid, you knew that I wasn't talking about what happened back in the day when Nederland's schools were actually still new...I was referring to recent history (but you know that already)...until PNG beat Nederland in baseball this year (admitedly, PNG was better), Nederland had beaten them two consectutive years in football, two years of sweeps in basketball and a previous year sweep in baseball to go along with back to back district track titles...until PNG won district in baseball this season, Nederland was reigning district champs in football, basketball, track, and baseball.
Recent history, huh? How about back-to-back district titles in boys' golf, boys' soccer and girls' soccer? And if I remember correctly, one of those boys' soccer teams swept and dethroned a state-ranked Nederland team.

I think y'all just had really bad timing.
Yes Sir :) We got Academic District Champs too :) Good thing BH hasn't started Soccer yet :)
And that's one area where 20-4A does sweep 19-4A. BH still has yet to take sweepstakes over PN-G at a pre-district meet. ;) ;D But congratulations on One Act Play.
 8. I know it'll never work out this way, but I think they need to choose the Alamodome. It's in a centralized location. I understand that Cowboys Stadium is nicer, but it would serve a number of school budgets better to have the championships in one of the state's most centrally-located stadiums, and travel costs are a big issue amidst all these funding cuts. Unless of course PN-G goes, in which case we're going to need Cowboys Stadium. All of it. ;D

 11. In honor of Barbers Hill's four losses to PN-G over three seasons, how about you change it from "Scalp'em" to "Scalped." ;D TraitorToTheTribe is also acceptable. ;D
Yep, and how did that work out?
Now that I think about it, was it even Doty throwing passes to DeRon?  I believe Doty was a sophmore when DeRon was a Sr.  Correct me if I'm wrong.
That was the 2009 season. Doty and I both were juniors.
 13.
No love for LCM? They return the fastest running back in 20-4A and a QB with one year of starting experience.
If LC-M wants love, they're going to have to earn it. They had great prospects in 2010 as well and didn't go anywhere with it.
 14. I can't really give a ranking because I don't know enough about the other teams this year, but I feel confident saying Nederland, PN-G and Vidor (not necessarily in that order) will make the playoffs. I'd like to think Central will be the fourth playoff favorite, but that's a big question mark after last year. The other team I feel has real playoff chances is Ozen.

There's a reason I don't make predictions when it comes to this game.
Yes that is true. You have a very good point. You never know when it comes to a rivalry and only god knows when it comes to mid county madness. Where is it played this year?
I think it's at PN-G. I won't get to go this year.
