1.
Uproar to ensue...  :o I always thought since both ISD's in Mid County can't seem to do much w/ their prospective issues at hand, the day would come that the 2 ISD's could combine & make one solid ISD. Tri-City ISD School: Tri-City High School Mascot: Cherokee Colors: Black & Purple & Silver Gotta keep the Indian theme for the ability to keep Cherokee. I mean let's be realistic anyway, Nederland folks know Cherokee is by far a better fight song. School Colors.. Black from Ned, Purple from PNG, Silver as the new color (Silver is a good medium between Gold & white) Can you imagine the teams that could be put together? My guess, the kids wouldn't care a bit once they got used to it. The parents?? Well we know that's another story. Although, I must say there are quite a few parents out there for both sides that one spouse went to the rival school. So that hatred can't run that deep. LOL. Something to think about for sure...
Won't happen. But I will say this much. If it ever did happen (and it won't), I would much rather see purple and gold. Even though I hate any sort of LSU imitation and that would kind of be a slap in the face to Lincoln graduates in the area, I think that looks a lot better than purple and black. I do think we would need to keep the Indian mascot (I know most of the Nederland fans would have a heart attack) because of the official ties to the Cherokee tribe. You don't just give up that kind of unique relationship. Besides, American Indians actually inhabited Mid-County, so it showcases the area's history.
 2. It'll pan out. Faircloth will adjust and we'll make the playoffs. If Nederland can do it with all those injuries, we can do it with what we have to work with.
 3. The Port Neches-Groves ... Why the ellipsis points? Because that's about as far as anyone would get before being stoned to death in the stadium. ;D
 4.

I'm biased..so....4 TD's for the Indians and 2TD's and maybe a field goal for Silsbee. I think with the game atmosphere, coming out of the tunnel with Cherokee blaring...boys will be pumped.
I've been to a few PNG games and Cherokee is blaring no matter what.  It doesn't matter if yall are up 50 or losing by 20 at the half.  Good thing it's a catchy little tune.
;D Short Cherokee is played every time PN-G makes a first down on offense, holds the opposing offense to a fourth down when on defense, after every touchdown, after every turnover and interception, and sometimes just after a big play that didn't necessarily gain anything. Long Cherokee comes at every run-through, during the Marching I (obviously), the end of every quarter, after every PAT attempt and field goal, one or two more times after the game ends and sometimes just when the band feels like it. Also, back in the days when PN-G and WO-S were still in the same district, it was sometimes played just to upset Dan Hooks. ;D

PM me.
It's true. When I picked up season tickets for my parents before leaving town, Vidor was the first game to sell out. The ticket lady said they had requested more and to come back a few days later. When I went back, she said that Vidor had refused to send more than the original 500. All other tickets would not be sent until the week of the game.
 6. I expect our offense to look better than the scrimmage reports because Silsbee's defense doesn't return much and Texas City is a tougher opponent all the way around. The defense is going to have to step up to the plate because Silsbee seems to have a balanced offense with a versatile QB based on the previews. 21-17 PN-G

PNG (I really hate these guys). I think they are being greatly "underpicked". 2. Nederville (I hate these guys second). 3. Central. The Jags play us tough no matter what. Well worth the price of admission. 4. Clear Brook. I won't undersell them. 5. Lumberton. Yes, I said Lumberton. There is no love lost between us and they were scrappy last year. 6. Livingston. Last district game at home. 7. Ozen. They lost that great quarterback, o-line and their coaching is questionable IMO. 8. Santa Fe. 9. LCM. Own one of the top two running backs in district...coaching is dead last. 10. Bridge City. They lost all their talent from last year.
Haters gonna hate. ;D
Actually, I was giving you some love as my #1 pick. Quit using Smoking Baby's line...be original.
... are you saying you have a love-hate relationship with PN-G? Those aren't healthy, you know....
 8. I bet we have someone out there. Whoever it is just might not have internet access at the moment.

 10. What's your pick for the dark horse in your district? For 20-4A, mine is Central.
Central's my dark horse pick. The talent's there. Coaching is the question after last year.
 12.
My co-workers say PNG o-line is huge wide-outs are tall and I saw the qb in the spring game and he is around 6'5" or maybe even taller so I just cant put a thumb on them because there boys seem to be sound yet you PNG folks seem nervous about it including my co-worker.
Our real play-makers mostly graduated. We lost Miller, Nelson, Bertrand and Romero, just to name a few. I like the potential this group has and they're in great hands when it comes to coaching, but people get anxious when the big names on the team all graduate. But I still feel confident about our chances. This isn't the first time we've been in this position under Faircloth, and he worked wonders last time.

I wouldn't be too quick to pass judgment.
You know considering your a PNG fan you sure do defend Ned a lot more than other PNG fans.
??? Where else have I defended Nederland lately?

 16. How do we know those 24 points aren't just eight field goals kicked from Dayton's own 20 yard line? ;D
 17. Prayers on the way. Best wishes to he and his family.

 20.
Pretty much rule out Jefferson and Harris. Too many teams. Chambers: BH, Anahuac, EC Liberty: Liberty, Dayton, Cleveland, Hardin, Hull Daisetta Hardin: Lumberton, Silsbee, Kountze, H-J Orange: BC, WOS, Vidor, LCM Jasper: Buna, Kirbyville, Jasper, Evadale Newton: Newton, Deveyville, Burkeville Tyler: Warren, Woodville, Colmesneil So thats the mental Mapquest in my head. Could very well have omissions and/or errors. Please correct! Apologies for whatever I missed.
In theory, Jefferson County could send all teams to the playoffs. West Brook and Memorial both making the playoffs in the same year (not necessarily this year) really isn't a stretch. PN-G, Nederland, Central and Ozen would have to take up all four 20-4A spots. Considering that both Mid-County schools and one of the Beaumont schools have made it the last three years running, that really isn't a stretch. The main obstacles would be Vidor and Livingston. Then there's Kelly, and I believe they made it to a TAPPS state championship either last season or the season before, so that's really not a stretch of the imagination. The issues would come in the lower classifications. I have no idea what Sabine Pass's playoff chances are and do we really see Hamshire-Fannett making the playoffs any time soon? Also, would Hardin-Jefferson be in that mix because part of their district extends into Jefferson County?
