  1. Scrimmages are where you find your depth guys or maybe even replace a starter. If someone sucks in two scrimmages, its your early warning sign that this may not work out. It has a purpose, otherwise, no one would do it. The only thing that doesn't mean anything is the score.
  2. Who knows? Maybe you are right. Ned seems to have PNGs number anyways. Though I see this game playing more similar to 2016 with how the teams are constructed. In that year for whatever reason ned didn't have Latulas playing wr. He nearly took a kickoff back though in that game and showed that outside of Roschon, he was the most explosive player on the field. After that game I knew he would be a problem for PNG. Without an explosive player like that can they do it again? because its what they will need to. Regardless of a Loss, roschon put nearly 300 yards rushing and 5tds for the second time on them. Without that guy to take over the game, i dont know. Barrow is a good coach. 1-0 against a better team and shocked me last year. Bad thing for PNG too is they lost their most productive receiver ever along with the entire 3 starting wrs. The way their new guys play will go a long way in determining the winner. Roschon is the X factor, as long as he is here, they have a chance to beat everyone. BH will be better imo than people think. They nearly beat PNG in the playoffs two years ago. Might upset one of the top three if you let them hang. Same with vidor. Vidor will shock one of the top three teams with a L i think this year.
  3. Folks are antsy for the season to start. I know I am.
  4. My top four are 1 Crosby 2PNG 3 BH 4 Ned/Vidor I picked Crosby but between them and PNG they could honestly flip flop. Crosby always has at least a couple athletes and Idk what PNG will bring until they bring it. They do have Johnson so theres that. Nederland could very well beat BH but I really like BH coach and their year to year improvement. Nederland will be what what they are. A well coached team that has a chance in any game. Vidor can be a challenge to teams who are not accustomed to playing their offense and they physical way they run it. Thats my opinion. See nothing fiery this time. What ya think?
  5. PAM grows backs on trees. Excited to see what comes from those guys this year.
  6. Bigbro is right but it looks like that fire i started is still smoldering. My bad.
  7. Whatever cher, since I think I may have struck a chord. Good for Nederland. Maybe one day, if you try really, really hard yall win something worth while other than MCM. Well im done for the day being an arse hole, wish you well and good luck finding a Latoulas replacement. Those other guys showed nothing last year. Im going finish my brisket
  8. Ha! Thats where you are wrong many of those players are all under that same parish. John Curtis also has talent come from outside in addittion to what we DEVELOP. 9. No you said that. I said move ins help Nederland win and to a lesser degree PNG. Ask Vidor and Lumberton!
  10. Its John Curtis. River Ridge is just where its located. My bad, just talking like yall know. I havent been to Plaq in years. Got a few relatives there, hey you might be one!
  11. Who Dat? I think this proves my point. John Curtis had move ins like yall do but we also had D1 and NFL talent such as: Joe McKnight, former NFL player and 4th round draft pick for the New York Jets (RIP)- MY CLASSMATE AND THE NATIONS #1 RUNNINGBACK and PLAYER in 07 Reggie Dupard, former NFL player and 1st round draft pick for the New England Patriots, Washington Redskins Chris Howard, former NFL player and 5th round draft pick for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders Clarence Leblanc, former NFL player for the New York Giants Michael Stonebreaker, former NFL player and 9th round draft pick for the Chicago Bears Jonathan Wells, former NFL player and 4th round draft pick for the Houston Texans Tony Bua (American football), former NFL player for the Miami Dolphins[ Melvin Hayes, former NFL player and 4th round draft pick for the New York Jets Danny Wimprine, former NFL/AFL player and draft pick for the Cleveland Browns Malachi Dupre, NFL wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills Duke Riley, NFL linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons
  12. Ha! I see you catch on quick! Lived in Nola and Kenner for a while till about 10th-11th grade years ago.
  13. So has Roschon at PNG....but we ALL know he's not from PN-G. So let me edit myself. Move in talent. I don't think it matters when they move in if they are a move in. Just be real with yourself. I was a player and coach at John Curtis e and have enough rings for both hands. WE wouldn't have got ANY of that WITHOUT New Orleans kids. Without them, our school demographics would be similar to yours and we wouldn't have been as nearly as competitive. I can admit it though. Its easy. Your best athletes come from other places. There. Roschon is the PNG exception. They normally don't as many move ins as Nederland. PN-G is usually whiter than raisins in potato salad (Gross). Unless Im blind, I'm telling folks about these Cajun eyes. Anyway, Laissez les bons temps rouler! Damn its a good day. I got a brisket in the smoker, a lil sumn sumn I done learned from you Texas guys, with a Lil Louisiana kick ya hear.
  14. Uh......... if you dont know then i dont know. Its kind of hard to spot them out on the field and tell the difference I see. Guess we got colorblind glasses on today. Could be wrong about the Qb, maybe he is from Nederland but I know Fernandez dad is definitely from P.A.. I can tell from how he carries himself on here. Just these Coonass eyes though, might have a lil Tony Chachere stuck in em.
  15. Well it don't help much. All I've seen from Nederland these past few years is that with a little Port Arthur seasoning in the backfield and at wr they can be a decent district team. Nothing they've ever done says anything about the playoffs. I don't see this Nederland team in particular as a threat without Latouloas. I think Latouloas knew that too. Idk maybe its these Cajun eyes
  16. This argument is dead. The only kid that can make an argument is the kid in Crosby. Some kids just ball regardless of classification. One of the nations top wr/athletes is from 4a Cuero. Another point is that Darwin Barlow and Tamauzia Brown are 3a and better than anything Port Arthur, Beaumont, and most of MC combined will put out in 2019. Go ahead a debate it. It’s your word against NCAA coaches, scouts, and recruiters. Btw wasn’t Lincoln 4a when they won all their basketball championships? Wasn’t Silsbee 4a too when they won. Guess that takes away from what they did since they were medium fish in a medium pond. (See how stupid that is) Guess Stephen Jackson is mad that he couldn’t go against the mega Texas schools before riding his 4a train to the NBA. Earl Thomas too, ole lil school dud. Roschon is the best in the area and a top dual threat for the 19 class in state. People who get paid to evaluate prospects have seen both for the last two years and it’s over with. He deserves a scholarship but Elia doesn’t even have one yet. We all know that Roschon WILL BE a college ball player. Its crazy that small town people like y’all who ALWAYS HAVE THE SMALLEST SCHOOLS no matter who y’all play use classification as an crutch knowing that guys are in the NFL from these small schools. But I just played and coached football and have a ring for every finger. (See John Curtis) Don’t mind me I’m dumb.
  17. Then Crosby should definitely make sure to win em all since y’all LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE first round exits! I know y’alls defense doesn’t get the negativity that png defense does but as bad as png d was, y’alls d had the unique ability of making people look superhuman. One kid. Not a qb, rb, and wr combo like you guys had that will all be playing ball in college. One kid. Watch out for Nederland too. They will wet the field and outcoach you to death. I hope Barbers hill beats y’all too. That’s just me though.
  18. You are crazy annoying. You are always talking about your stats and facts for your one and done team. He saysbas always his points will be proven in season. Unless you predicted easy outs for Crosby, then as far as im concerned you just talking fluff. Now i honestly dont like png but infollow roschon. You got beat by a png team that dont even utilize the RB position. No craig williams wasnrunningnout the backfield. They only threw the ball and ran roschon. Literally only two things could have happened and that was qb keeper or a pass. Only one PNG wr is being recruited and it aint even the one who had the 4 tds. Wack arse. Funny thing is didn't new caney do the same thing? Go away Skip Bayless. Your stupid is messing with my fishing trip. Flip it anyway you want to Crosby will probably have the most put together team in this district and it very likely will count for nothing. But the uniforms are pretty. I hope png, ned, and the rest knock y'all off early to spare me reading about your early exit again in the papers.
  19. Sure, you see it one way I do another. Thats fine I also know a thing about that Denton team. They have multiple ranked and highly recruited players on both sides of the ball. That makes things a hell of a lot easier. I would love to see Roschon play with 3-4 star players on both sides of ball. He can score 10 tds by himself, but Im sure you know about that already.
  20. I think you just said it right there. A full season plus a full slate of playoff games and the most you PASS for is 2100 yards and 22 tds. Thats worse than Roschons sophomore year. Heard rushes for 2000 but he also played in more games to get to 2000. Roschon avgs 1600 just going 3 rounds deep. Roschon doesnt remotely have the team to go to state, (PNG just dont have it anymore) but if you gave him 3 more games to do it Roschon would definitely have 2000 rush yds. Roschons worst passing season was already better the Jerrods by nearly 900 yds. 2000 and 2000 QB or a 3000 and 1600 QB. Heard was a higher nationally ranked product though. Think he was just that explosive and I saw him at the camps back then. Did very well for himself. Just didnt work out
  21. Jerrod Heard was a better high school runner than Roschon is. No Knock on Shug. Roschon is ahead of Heard in the passing category though to me as a high schooler. Roschons worst season passing so far, his Sophomore year yielded more yards than ALL of Heards starting 3 starting years and his td total of 26 pass tds is better than all but one of Heards high school years. Heard ran a run heavy offense and had one solid rb to go with it. Heard was very efficient in his passing, providing the balance and enough big plays is the air to make that particular team nearly unstoppable. Perfect high school storm. However, he had issues going through progressions when forced to do so by a defense, something that was noted in his recruiting and scouting. He would take off after his first option often without keeping his eyes down the field to pass. In high school, he was so good running however it didnt matter. In college, those issues resurfaced and were put under a microscope because a college qb has to make certain throws and be able to hang it the pocket, despite the coming hit, for the throw. While showing a flash here and there, it hasnt worked out for him unfortunately. Maybe with more consistent coaching and structure it could have happened for the guy. Roschon goes through his progressions more frequently and consistently than Heard did and has shown on more than one occasion to sit in the pocket and take a hit for the throw. Much better deep ball and more crisp on short routes. Memorial, Nederland, Texas City, and College Station all brought pressure and harassed him but on more than one occasion he is picking himself off the ground after completing a pass. We will see how he handles it on the next level and if that translates. He will be a Qb in my opinion but if he switches, just ask the Titans about how he is as a receiver.
