This game will be a clear Huffman domination. Vidor is not a team Huffman will struggle with. After the change to their defensive scheme they've seemed to turn things around and Huffman's offense will remain explosive for the whole season. Vidor's defense just doesn't match up well against the Falcons, and their little gimmick offense will struggle the way Huffman has been playing. Huffman has proved that they can turn things around vs a offense like that in their game vs Shepherd, they just didn't come out with the same fire as they did in the second half. I think this is a easy W for Huffman.

I'm not going to crash the man's tailgate. I just enjoy talking a little foolishness on here. However, ribeyes and shrimp sure sound good.

UIL approved giving football teams in 4A & below home-field advantage in first round of playoffs and adopting that for all classes in basketball, volleyball, team tennis and soccer. Currently, only 6A and 5A football teams get home field in first round. This will start this year.

These seasons are subject to change and the UIL can meet on the subject again 6A/5A - no earlier than August 1, 2028 4A/3A - no earlier than 2030 2A/1A - no earlier than 2032

I'll see what I can do but this particular tailgate is not of my doing. Was invited to this one thru my wife. We were actually invited to two tailgates for that day so I'll be making my rounds between the two.

this seems accurate. Having just seen HJ, who appears to be pretty even with Shepherd based on both their schedules and H2H, and WOS in back to back weeks, I'll be shocked if this one is remotely close beyond the 1st quarter. Just like last year, Shepherd is going to struggle once they get to the meat of their schedule. And this Shepherd team is not as good as last year's to begin with.

The UIL approved a mandated 35-second shot clock for basketball starting in 2028-29 school year for 6A and 5A, with other classes to adopt it in following years. 6A and 5A schools would have the option to use it in the 2027-28 school year. Not too happy about this but unfortunately it will happen. Think this is the wrong decision for 3A and below.

Lumberton couldn't stop the run and Huffman running back ran for over 300 yards and all Vidor can do is run that's why they scored so much. Huffman will be a real test for Vidor especially is the running back position. This kid is averaging 226 yards. I would love to meet you at this game and we can watch Vidor get waxed by Huffman. MAM

I'll go back over my post, but I do not think that I said anything about the LCM vs. Vidor game not being a blowout. Again, I'll double-check. Also, Vidor put up 63 pts. on Lumberton, where HH only managed 20 pts. Vidor also held BC to 3 pts, while HH allowed 33 pts.

Still dosent explain the LCM game. Vidor got manhandled by LCM and 41-7 is a BLOWOUT score and theres no other way of putting it. the huffmans whooped up on LCM. huffmans defense has been hard to get by every since theve had 5 down so why woudnt they be able to put down a medicore vidor team when they can handle a team like LCM. and not to mention huffmans offense we all its going to be a real long night for the Vidor Defense

If Silsbee can get a lot of pressure on Broussard it'll be a dogfight. If HF finds their offensive rhythm early it could be a long night for the Silsbee D. If they'd played the first couple of weeks of the season I think the horns would've won comfortably, but Silsbee has improved every week, as is to be expected from a young team. They're going to be ready to face the horns, so it should be a great game for 2nd place.

All I see is Huffman dominating the district, and Huffman losing to 2 solid 5a schools and a really solid Shepard 4a. Vidor has not defeated Huffman since 2022 lol.

Then again you are just watching box scores… THEY PLAYED West Orange Stark and Silsbee dont bring up there pre district record.

Vidor is 2-1 in district. Loss to LCM (41-7) and beat BC (27-3) and Lumberton (63-34). **Big win over BC... Have you watched BC? They sit at 3-5 overall and 2-2 in disctrict.

Well LCM hasn’t played bride city or lumberton and have played liberty and Livingston which have atrocious defenses and we will have to see what vidor will do against this Huffman defense. Not everyone just watches the box score like you @BBtater984
