Could not have said it better myself, Abe!  And furthermore, North Shore and FB Bush are the ONLY LEGITIMATE PROGRAMS of the ones you named. The others are "IF a player lands there" driven. Watch how BAD FB Travis gets after this season... ;)

There are better schools in the nation for athletics, and we all know there are better high schools in the nation for an education. So why would someone come into the country and pick Jack Yates.?

Perhaps you didn't know this so I will tell you...Yates has one of the TOP schools of communications programs in TEXAS..They work closely with the University of Houston's communication department, AND they serve as the training ground for most of the area media outlets...Shocking, isn't it? ::) ::)...That could be ONE reason... 8)

I was being sarcastic about that being the reason, but the magnet school of communications IS a really good one...Phylicia Rashad (Claire Huxtable on the Cosby Show) and her sister Debbie Allen are alums that back the school financially still...

Back to to point Yates has fear of Silsbee..Are they wouldn't be acting that way there where times last night playing H.J. where they where nervous.. Yates is use to playing teams that are feared of there rep...Butt Silsbee ready to play ball and to show you Yates fans yes Yates can be beat....When the to hit the floor my the best team win..  8)

Not sure what the "language" comment was referring to as far as the Yates players, but I do know that a couple of them told the HJ cheerleaders to "Get the F--- off of our floor".  HJ cheerleaders happened to be behind the basket on the baseline at the same end where Yates was warming up prior to the game.

Also one of the Yates players (#2) fouled Sammy Mitchell, knocking him down (no big deal), but then stood over him and bumped him when he tried to get up.  #2 got a technical for it, and then acted surprised about it.

No question Yates tries to intimidate.  They were the better team and they won the game, but I think it was pretty clear that they did not intimidate HJ.  The game was still very competitive (margin was about 7) when Dylan Mays picked up his 4th foul mid-to-late 3rd quarter.  After that, the size and depth factor really kicked in and that was that.  Yates was much, much deeper, and obviously much bigger.

* Also a side note, #12 Swift for Yates is not in shape.  He was huffing and puffing a lot.  Good player, but they had to sub him out every few minutes and he was sucking air bad.  Problem is, they just rolled in another about his size...

**Another side note, I was very surprised to see Coach Wise whining and complaining to the refs so much.  On reputation, I expected him to be a cool customer.  I almost expected cool detachment (a la Paul Benton for those from Houston who may know him).  Not the case.  He spoke to the refs almost as much as he spoke to his team.

It is amazing how many top notch high profile basketball players want to major in communication. Coincidence I guess.
