Summer Creek vs. Georgetown

BHFAN

Recommended Posts

Well, RB from C E King had a great year too.

I think SC got the two toughest teams out the gate.  Only thing worse would have been a Dawson game in round 1 or 2.

One thing (of many) I can say about SC this year is they are a composed team.  They push their opponents to keep up and take risks.

Turnovers, penalties, dropped balls and big plays will be the factor IF Georgetown has great DB's. If Gtown's DB's are less than stellar, all bets are off. SC will light them up.

SC plays the spread to prefection with one of the best HS QB I have ever seen.  If not for dropped passes, he would have completed every pass.  Throws a frozen rope with a beautiful deep ball.  Tall fast receivers.  If they only had an above average RB, they would be unstoppable!  Their run D was shaky but stout.  This game should be an awesome shootout.  Wish I was closer to CS to watch it.
SC does have an above running game, but Vidor didn't see it. SC chose to throw most of the game. SC has three good backs, all of which have over 500 yards on relatively few carries. KeeVon Aldridge is easily the most physical runner in our district.
We are going to have to use every tool we have against Georgetown. We will definitely need our run game, and our pass game better be flawless. Gtown seems strong against the run, and their D backs look good against the pass on the sideline.
I agree, we need the run game, and if our Oline come to play, we can definitely run on this team just from looking at film. They don't stack a lot in the box
If our oline shows, and give Sharpe enough time in the backfield, the options will become unlimited for SC.
The problem is, yea Sharp can always use more time to throw, but we need our Oline to do well on RUN BLOCKING, they haven't did that all year. Not against a good Dline/LB crew anyway..but remember they are young...All juniors

Yes, you are right. Our run blocking has never been consistent in opening up opportunities for the runners. The holes never open in the middle for our runners, and around the end, blocking is spotty at best .

This team has a lot of rushing yards considering 1) this is a pass 1st offense, and 2) the starting RB's rotate (thunder and lightening). Combined rushing yards by all 3 backs is over 1500 yards. If one of our backs had those yards, we'd be singing another song right now.
Y'all shouldn't think Aldridge is the best then. Walter finished with more than all three of your backs. He had 1,667 yards during the regular season and 211 more. If he ran behind y'all line you could pencil him in for and easy 2000.

I have to agree. I've seen both teams and Walter definitely takes the cake in running backs.

I love the twins, but remember Aldridge is rotating with 2 other backs, he has close to 600 yards.....the twins RB carries the ball every other play, from start to finish....he never played a full game

We have to be pass first for the run to open up.....we have 3 good backs, but not able to get much due to our inexperience line when it comes to run blocking

Twin running back has 154 carries. Total plays for Crosby is 541.

So the twin didn't even carry a quarter of the plays man.

It sure looked like the one of the twins were running every other play. Also he has carried the ball over two times as much as any SC back. Lastly, Crosby has a jail break running style. Like a broken play run. I doubt seriously either twin could rack up yards running in a pro set offense.  That goes for all of Vidor, BH, Dayton's RB's too.  If it weren't for option, none of those backs could do anything significant.

One great team is going to be sitting home after round 2! either of these teams has a legit shot at going to State.
As much as it turns my stomach to say this, but VIDOR is a great team that's sitting out. Vidor could beat BH, Crosby (if they could handle Crosby's passing), and probably many others including a Nederland rematch.
SC scored 24 on BH and you say that...Talk about getting delusional in your wins.  We will always pull for our District's teams, but not you...Give us a break.
Excuse me, we stopped at 24................. The entire city of dayton was in our stands. That's right all SIX streets! ;D ;D ;D

I hear ya Ragarm, but as tough as BH is, Vidor is a superior team. It would be cool to see two sneaky option teams match up.

As for delusional over wins, d proof is in the puddin.  BH's sneaky option is nowhere near as effective as Vidor's. You have a point that SC only scored 24 on BH, but the flip side is BH only scored 11 on SC to Vidor's 27.
Our starting QB was out against y'all....he was MVP in 19-4a last year in case you forgot...

How good would Vidor have been with their 3rd string QB?
No we didn't. Vidor is a much better team than bh, if Denny's in ya'll still lose, but by more.

BH's RB???!!!!  Really???!!!  You can't be serious. W/o the sneaky option, none of BH's RB's pose a threat.  Their offense is like running a trick play each down. It makes even marginal backs look good. Just look at Vidor.  If it were not for deception, that team isn't running on anyone.
