all right smoking baby, i lurked this board for years and i mean years. i would just sit back and observe the trash talk. well now since i joined, i want some REAL talk on why you feel BH should be higher or why do you think PAM is over rated. seriously. leave out the way PAM posters act, try to leave out your bias that BH is the best team in this area. lets be real about it. i'll start.

PAM-first thing is first, they are 5-0. fact. only 3 other teams are 5-0 with one of them just breaking in the polls.fact. and imo, that team is not even near our part of the region and should not be counted. the other 5-0 teams are ranked right behind PAM.fact.

do you really think any team besides a HEALTHY LP team, that's ranked can beat PAM in a head to head?? don't want to hear PAM hasn't played anybody. if you think PAM have not played anyone, lobby your coach to sign up PAM. oh, PAM is at a level now that we are just reloading every year. it was said singlton was PAM last year and we couldn't replace him. well i had doubts in fisk and he is proving us ALL wrong!! this kid is actually playing better than singleton right now. he has bailed us out and came through. the whole defense has returned,minus the linebackers,which we have other kids that have stepped up and doing a good job. a secondary that's hard hitting and big and physical. our own version of the honey badger is the shortest at 5'10. i don't think ANY 19 or 20 4a school can play with PAM. there is not a defense in 19 4a or 20 4a,or in ANY OF THE 3A ranks that can contain and stop PAM's up tempo no huddle offense. for this reason, i think they should add 21-5a to the rankings to make it fair. then your eagles or anyone besides dayton wouldn't scratch the top 10.

BH- can't get out the first round of the playoffs. one dimentional offense. haven't showed anything consistant this year. playing dayton is there state championship game. playing in a district with one good team in dayton,so you should be in the playoffs every year. they do have good athletes with a no quit attitude. coaching is pretty good for the district they play in.

now let me hear your rebuttle....

edit: summer creek is also better than BH and kingwood park is continuing to get better...you might grab the 4th spot this year...

a loss is a loss i guess. 4-1 looks and sounds better than 1-3,regardless if they were a top ten or not.

Because BH sports a 4-1 season record and 2-1 in district play while Crosby sports a 2-3 mark and 1-2 in district play. The 3 losses that you speak of were also murders, 2 TD loss to Nederland, 3 TD loss to Dayton and 4 TD loss to Summer Creek.  If the season ended today, Crosby would not even be in the playoffs. 

Will that change?  Most probably. And if it does, Crosby will take its then rightful spot in relation to other teams.  But at this point (the halfway point for Crosby) to say that they deserve to be a Top Top 10 team is a bit comical.  So much so that not even the most faithful of Cougar fans are biting on this one.

Looking at this week's 1A state polls, Tenaha is still ranked.

Why is that so funny?

WO-S beat LC-M 18-0, who beat CS 35-20.  WO-S beat Jasper 17-7.  3a Silsbee also beat LCM, which beat CS.  So by that logic WO-S, Silsbee, and Jasper are all better than Coldspring.

None of this means anything at all, but we have nothing else to rank the teams on since they haven't played each other yet.  We have to make assumptions like every poll, and I feel we have a lot more local knowledge than Dave Campbell.
