Vidor was way better than I expected as well.  They both played a great game....but so glad the Dogs ended up on top.  DEFINITE nail biter!  Anybody know if Vidor #23 that played both ways use to go to Nederland?  Some teachers in the stands thought he MAY HAVE when he was younger (like elementary/MS)...just imagining if he would have stayed in Big Ned??

His dad graduated from Nederland but Montana has always went to VISD schools.

If someone creates a thread that says "**OFFICIAL Vidor Crow-Eating Thread**" then you have a rivalry folks. Otherwise like normal games you comment on the game thread.

I'm sorry but as much as Vidor fans want this to be a rivalry it's not. We have MCM for that. It's always been Nederland and Port Neches.

Umm...football gods said you can have more than one rivalry. Can't wait until next years Ned vs Vidor or maybe the playoffs?

I didn't start this thread to have to explain the non-rivalry with Vidor again. Honestly, how many years has Vidor been significant? I'm not saying that to knock them, but come on. Yes, the past couple of years the Vidor game has been big for Nederland because they stood in the way of our District Crown. But, we've had a string of years where it was that way with Ozen and Central too. With MCM it's a year round deal not just in hs sports. It trickles down to youth sports, office wars, you name it. It stands the test of time and is extremely relevant even if neither team is. My point being, the Vidor game will continue to be a big game for Nederland as long as they stay relevant. But if they revert back to being the doormat of the district, then it won't matter much to Ned. I have a feeling the same cant be said for Vidor...

      It has been frustrating seeing the lack of coverage from virtually EVERY media outlet.  We (Chester) are in the SE Texas coverage area.  There are no radio broadcast from our area, and Ch 12 is the only one that has even mentioned it.   I know I could have gotten donations to cover a SETX Sports broadcast.  Oh well, water under the bridge - we aren’t as big as Silsbee, WO-S or PN-G.
