not many places with turf you can practice on.....

Cost of living in general has been going up......I hate paying $3.60 for gas but.......

I'm with Tragic on this one. It's a nice facility and costs of everything eventually increase. It's a business that has a responsibility to be able to keep its costs down and increase revenue whenever possible; However, there is a pretty cool ball park in Lumberton called Marauder Baseball Club that is an option as well...really nice private facility.

You don't need turf to practice......you can practice on any field you want.....we are in agreement there.  I would think since most tourneys are held on turfed infields it would be to a teams advantage to practice on one.....balls bounce different.

With 11 kids, $65 equals $5.91 a kid........to me thats a bargin for a nice field, bleachers, lights, bathrooms and a couple vending machines.......

Love that park....well maintained..........

My Son is fortunate enough to be able to practice on that field.

They have 2 fields out there, nice fields. I dont know the fees they charge, but we played out there last season a couple of times during a Nations Tourney.

Maybe with the extra money they are charging they can do some work on the cow pasture outfields the kids are having to play on. Totally ridiculous! I see better grass on the side of the highway than in the outfields of Ford Park. Also most local Little Leagues have better ones as well....

Was a great day for baseball at Ford Park, nice weather and lots of friendly folks. Only thing that could have been better was if Ford Park would have remembered to mow the Cow Pasture outfields then bale the hay...can't believe those kids have to play in that. Well I guess I can cause they have the last couple years. Pretty bad when a ball cant be found in grass cause its too high. Jason Tyner puts together a great Fall Ball league with over 600 kids and Ford Park can't even mow grass for him.

No they didn't bale it, of course they left it so it would kill the grass so it wouldn't have to be mowed. Have you seen the Lamar Softball field? That field looks awesome. Outfield grass looks like a putting green. Wonder if Ford Park has ever heard of weed and feed? Lol...makes sense why they wouldn't use that cause it would kill all the weeds that makeup the outfields...

      Delusional and protagonist are words that come to mind.  You see I really do not mind dissenting opinions.  The problem I have with most of the posts you make is you just want to say something (opinion, law, etc.) is wrong and not offer up any solutions.  The problem with America is: #1 and by far the most problematic - we have moved away from God, and #2 we are not the “UNITED” States of America anymore.
