Its hard enough for local Premier teams  to compete against Houston premier teams within their age division, so why would you subject a team carrying players two years younger in age division that have little chance of competing at that level?   Have you coached at the Premier level? 

Looking for feedback on this....  Why do players go to tryouts with another team that have no intention of leaving its current team?

Good to hear that Lumberton is stronger this year makes things more interesting.

It was a win for the WE Reds, but far from being a tremendous one. Let's hope they show up Thursday and play better baseball!  ;)

In the area private school track meet this past weekend, a sixth grader  from St. Catherine out of Port Arthur ran a 11.57 and a sixth grader from St. Anne ran a 11.60.  These were hand timed by coaches, but not bad for 12 YO boys!

[/quote]West End Little League had a fall ball program this year so the fields have been maintained.  I see select teams practicing out there all of the time. It's not that difficult to do the math on that one. Also, when the fields are available, the softball complex is cheaper.
