Take player groups not players. Ex The PAM WR not John LaDay
That would be a great idea. Like for ex. have PAM WR, PNG O-Line, Vidor RBs.. that would be legit. The only thing to learn is how do is score the fantasy points!

Offensive lineman are not involved in fantasy football.

I know they're not. Idk why I put that in there I guess it sounded good at the time! But  you could throw in DB's instead.

And you could use standard scoring systems like ESPN uses.

Here is an example from one of my leagues:

Passing
Passing Yards (PY) - 0.04 points/yard
TD Pass (PTD) - 4 points
2pt Passing Conversion (2PC) - 2 points

Rushing
Rushing Yards (RY) - 0.1 points/yard
TD Rush (RTD) - 6 points
2pt Rushing Conversion (2PR) - 2 points

Receiving
Receiving Yards (REY) - 0.1 points/yard
TD Reception (RETD) - 6 points
2pt Receiving Conversion (2PRE) - 2 points

Miscellaneous
Kickoff Return TD (KRTD) - 6 points
Punt Return TD (PRTD) - 6 points
Fumble Recovered for TD (FTD) - 6 points

Kicking
Each PAT Made (PAT) - 1 point
FG Made (0-39 yards) (FG0) - 3 points
FG Made (40-49 yards) (FG40) - 4 points
FG Made (50+ yards) (FG50) - 5 points

Team Defense / Special Teams
Each Sack (SK) - 1 point
Interception Return TD (INTTD) - 6 points
Fumble Return TD (FRTD) - 6 points
Kickoff Return TD (KRTD) - 6 points
Punt Return TD (PRTD) - 6 points
Blocked Punt or FG return for TD (BLKKRTD) - 6 points
Blocked Punt, PAT or FG (BLKK) - 2 points
Each Interception (INT) - 2 points
Each Fumble Recovered (FR) - 2 points
Each Safety (SF) - 2 points
0 points allowed (PA0) - 12 points
1-6 points allowed (PA1) - 9 points
7-13 points allowed (PA7) - 6 points
14-17 points allowed (PA14) - 3 points
Less than 100 total yards allowed (YA100) - 6 points
100-199 total yards allowed (YA199) - 4 points
200-299 total yards allowed (YA299) - 2 points

Definitely do-able, would take a lot of work and calculating. But it would be cool and I think a lot of people would participate. I'd be willing to help make it work if it ever gets started up.

Well, I am trying to get complete stats from around the area.  The problem with stats at this level is that they are kind of hit and miss.

I was just about to make a comment on that issue. If I could find reliable stats on each game, I'd try to set it up and get it started.

That's the problem, you will not find complete and accurate stats anywhere for all the teams in the SETX area.

It would be a nightmare trying to do a high school fantasy league. Too many teams and too many players for any local source to have complete stats on every player.

Grad can attest, he tries to get stats on as many players in our coverage area, but sometimes hits dead ends. Just the nature of the beast.

You might could do it if you limit the league just to 20-4A teams, PAM, West Brook and maybe 21-3A teams. But that's it.

If I were to play, I would want to be able to have the opportunity to have players in the 2A and 1A ranks, like Glenn Roberts of East Chambers and Justine Twine of Hemphill.

Good luck in your quest but just can't see how the league would work without having definite and accurate stats to score on.

The draft can be held on a thread on here. That isn't the problem. The only thing is stats. I was thinking the league could consist of these districts:

21-5A
19-4A
20-4A
20-3A
21-3A
22-3A
12-2A2 (If we can consistently get accurate stats)

And if we can get accurate stats from other nearby districts, we can involve those too

That sound like a good plan to me as long as we can get accurate stats from each district if its possible.

As someone who has chased area stats for the last 3 years to post here, let me offer my opinion on the above districts.

21-5A - West Brook, PA Memorial, La Porte, North Shore, Deer Park and Channelview okay.  Sterling sometimes goes missing.

19-4A - Barbers Hill, Crosby, Dayton, Kingwood Park, Humble, and Summer Creek okay.  C.E. King is hit and miss.  Don't know about New Caney or Porter.

20-4A - All are generally okay.

20-3A - Jasper, Carthage and Center (Center being the best of the 3) at best, but even those are hit and miss.  Diboll and Huntington will be hard to find.

21-3A - All, except for HF are okay.

22-3A - Huffman, Coldspring, Cleveland okay.  The rest of the district is definitely hit or miss.

12-2A-II - The only one in this district that I could ever get consistent stats from is Deweyville.

If we had to narrow it down, I'd pick these districts
