Someone still sounds a bit bitter last year's "L".Maybe if the coach could coach, Humble would've had that HUMBLE ZONED TALENT. Don't worry. You only have to deal with us for two more years. Hope your program's turned around by then. By the way, don't like crow, but I will eat up some fried yard bird. Perferably Frenchy's. So have me a 10 piece with 2 peppers and a RED soda after we smash ya'll......................................please !!!!! ;)............................ and coming back on the 2nd string isn't really going toe to toe.ijs

you are a revisionist of history brother.

Humble and SC were tied 14-7 at the half, SC lead.  No one scored the second quarter.  SC scored 14, Humble scored 7 in the third.  both scored 14 in the fourth.  Yall never held a wide enough lead for long enough to put in the second string team without risking a comeback.  QB Sharp played the entire game.  SC accounted for 600+ yards, and Humble had roughly 500+.    This was a very evenly matched game outside of redzone production.    Both defenses were terrible, and both offenses pretty much had their way with the defenses with the exception of humble executing inside the 20.    This game would of NEVER been 70-14 like another poster suggested.  SC was the better team, but not by much at all. and Humble was down right terrible last year.
Did you count how many time Screek took a knee? we took knee at 4yd line, we could have scored right before half but the QB messed up...we were on the 2yd line. and yes we did have 2nd string defense in...
You took the knee because you already up 7 points, and a turnover could mean 7 or 8 in the other direction.  Not worth the risk considering at that point the game was won. (good thing you don't coach). Theirs no need to take high risk, when victory is with in grasp.  And just because you say your 2nd string was in, doesn't change the fact that up until the last 4 downs.... your defense wasn't 2nd string.  that in itself would of been a stupid move, and if thats how your coaches coach...get ready to get reamed.
We lead by 20 plus points, we put our 2nd string in, and they pretty staed in bcuz we knew game was won, plus..we were headed to PLAYOFFS...keep making excuses...score just may be 70-14 this year ;)

The sack on this one.....

You would think they're from Dayton or something  ;)

Seriously though, don't let the DC Tx Football preseason ratings go to your head...

looking at the box score... Humble scored 2 touchdowns in less than 3 min on that 2nd string defense.... that put them within 7 with over 3 min to play. SC just about shot themselves in the foot putting that 2nd D in!!!

Considering the beating Bh put on Dayton 12 months ago, I'd want to forget it too.  What was that score again.....70-14 or something like that?  ;D ;D ;D

Exactly, the 2 TDs in 3 min tells you the 2nd Defense was in...and yea we shouldn't have had 2nd string in, but we knew we were going to Playoffs and Humble WAS'NT ;D ;D so I guess they decided to put them in....i mean we can't control the coaching lol

Scrimmage scores are not indictive to how well a team will do.  Humble use to whoop up on Lufkin every year they scrimmaged them in the late 90's early 00's.  I can guarntee you that most of those Lufkin teams we scrimmaged would of beat us by a good 14 points.

Scrimmages are as much about coaching as they are about players.  You try different things, and different pieces.  They are meant to fine tune, not come out victorious.  Thats why when i watch a scrimmage i watch coaching tendencies and technique more then i pay attention to plays.  how frequently do they blitz, do the coaches prefer man or zone, on offense how are the WR running routes.  Things of that nature.  I can't gauge the overall success of a team based on a fake game with no ramifications whos purpose is soley to perfect or fix broken tendencies.

Make no mistake, Humble has a LOT to work on before district starts.  alot of these guys are going to be playing varsity for the very first time, and their is always learning curve.  Question for them is how fast can they learn?  Humble is athletic enough to play with anyone in the district, but is not experianced enough from what i have observed to win close games.  How well they do will depend on how mentally prepared these guys are.
