HD 55 took his ball and went home.

So here is a thread for folks to post on about winning traditions.

Maybe there will not be any comparisons of Hull-Daisetta and Odessa Permian in this thread. ;) ;D
The thread needed to end. I used a pour comparison. I should have used another team for my example. OP has been down the last 2 seasons and usually was superman, that's why I used them. H-D and OP do have one thing in common, football is everything in their communities. Just like PNG, WOS and Newton. Friday Nights Lights are special in all these towns.

Odessa Permian, WOS, Newton, PNG, HD??  When talking Friday Night Lights and winning traditions can anyone name the one that does not belong in this group?  <jeopardy song>
I was thinking more of the Sesame Street song.

"One of these things does not belong with the others, one of these things just doesn't belong!" ;D

One things for sure, HD 55 never leaves his house without his red and black sunglasses. ;)
That's your opinion. History doesn't agree.  ;) A record 43 game national winning streak, 2 state championship appearances, one state title, a winning percentage of 63% and over 525 victories. Top 7 in victories in the state as 1A. Not to mention the Regional titles back in the day when that was as far as you could go. H-D is a special place to play.

actually it says 518 wins and according to records its only a 61.82 percent winning record, nevermind the fact that your numbers are wrong again!  but most of these stats your talking about are dated pre 1970.  Just curious whats the record for the past 20 years?  How many state championships and what is winning percent for the past 20 years?

Ive looked,,not so pretty is it??  Thats the difference between history and tradition!!!

I like to think of a winning tradition like grandma's sour dough starter. If you don't maintain it, it dies. When it dies the only thing you can do is start over. A lot of programs have had past success and deserve the accolades of having done it. But to ride on the past does nothing to keep the tradition alive. It has to be nutured and fed with wins and championships. And like grandma's starter, everybody's is a little different.

According to this link that YOU provided, HD has 518 wins thru 2011, not 527.

For someone that's all about Hull-Daisetta football, you sure lack accuracy on your facts.

Not slow, just HD football is just not relevant enough to garner my full attention over the past several years.

But, I'll take Texas Football website over a "homer's" inaccurate and biased facts. ;) ::)

If it weren't for your constant whining and crying about your precious Bobcats on this site, I would not give them much thought.
