Perry Walker wont even beat North Shore in the 1st round!!!
North Shore will be good.  They have David Green as a head coach now.  He's fresh off a State championship appearance from FB Hightower and is the old Central Basketball coach.  North Shore will be a lot of people this year and will be favored to win their district.

Is Hardin Jefferson scared to play in this tourney? Seems to me this is where all the Big Dawgs come to play!
Sutherland prefers playing in pool play type tourneys where you get as many as 5 to 6 games, guaranteed. They have played in the Aransas Pass tourney the last several years.

Obviously the quality of play is better at the YMBL, but a team may only get to play 3 games.

I think I'd rather play less games vs weaker schools myself. Why not get in a 5A/4A tourney with 5 state ranked schools vs a tourney with one or two. They will win that Aransas Pass tourney like they did last year.

And I believe Sutherland is reasonably qualified to know what is best for his team.  His record certainly suggests that.  Every coach has a different approach.  I know of one very successful coach that didnt play the real tough teams because he didnt want his kids to get it in their mind that there was anyone that they couldnt compete with.  Not saying its right but who knows for sure?

So is HJ scared of the YMBL or not? I think local fans would like to see the team he has play the kind of talent that's in the tourney this year. Would HJ benefit from playing Hightower, Kimball, or Ozen?
Ah, BS ( [s]BS?[/s]) has some good points laid out. Would/could HJ benefit from [s]a 25 point loss[/s] errrr....I meant playing teams like Hightower or Dallas Kimball?

    • Nope. Just proving you wrong..... Pretty easy to do.
    • I get it now. You are a Biden fan.😀
    • A good question that you choose not to answer I guess lol. He was good enough to play varsity on most 3A teams as a freshman. He just wasn't the best option as a starting qb for Woodville yet and the coaching staff decided it would be better to have him getting more reps on jv rather than being a back up or playing another position on varsity. It was a good decision in my opinion but I can understand your stance to some extent. But the claims that someone is purposely trying to hold him back is just bogus.
    • When did you see him. Probably didn’t realize he had virtually no reps in practice he just stood around and got a little work running opposing teams plays. The only instruction he got was going to camps  and working with the professionals which was a blessing. Most kids only get daddy ball instruction that’s why you don’t see them at the next level.
    • Like this kinda background work? Do I need to do more?  After the 1996 election, Babin became involved in a campaign finance scandal concerning $37,000 in illegal donations from businessman Peter Cloeren that were moved through "vehicles" to circumvent the individual contribution limit of $1,000. Cloeren asserted in an  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  that Babin and then- This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up   This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  laundered his donations through other candidates and organisations.
