East Chambers vs Tatum Predictions

Hornet

Recommended Posts

I played for Coach Evans and loved every minute of it, but to say that EC has been in the playoffs for 17 straight years because of him is idiotic.  Coach E has been gone for almost 10 years and EC has still made the playoffs.  I was lucky enough to have him for a mentor and he has helped me to become a better coach through my years, just by modeling the way that he coached us.  I was a field house rat that would hang around and try to pick up as much as possible from Coach Evans, East, Koch, Todd Sutherland, and Uncle Joe.  Maybe Tatum should be saying the same thing.  They are in the playoffs because of EC's old coach.  Good Luck to both teams.  I know there will be classy football played on the field by both sides, and like I said earlier, the winner controls their own Destiny.

Thanks to our coach.

Andy ran a class program at EC, kinda looks like it hasn't translated very well at Tatum, though. Of course he can't controll trash talking fans. Go ahead, [s]Green Bay [/s] Tatum. Rant on...
Show me where any of the Tatum fans have trashed your team or coaches.  Evans has translated 3 State Championship appearances into 2 wins and a loss.  1 win in 3A and a win in 2A and a Loss in over-time to another former 3A Farmersville team.  Moved back up into 3A for 2 years, made the playoffs both years and went to the quarters last year.  Yeah, you may see  a couple of idiots from Tatum, but don't kid yourself, EC has 'em too even without the accomplisments.  Heck, I asked a civilized question and another Tatum fan answered it before y'all did.  It's almost like y'all don't want to actually talk football, rather just say "We are going to beat Tatum".  We'll see.  Now, if y'all want to be civil and talk football, shoot.  If not, we can smack talk with the best of them.

What's funny is that the players stats that Eagle8 gave are all very, very close.  I would say that LB Kiano Lucas is closer to 5'10" and 205 lbs and Keshawn Smith probably closer to 5'11" and 170 lbs.

Bless y'alls hearts, y'all thought he was kidding

Evans has translated...
I would describe it more as "inherited", as in Lennon Creer & Co., for example.

Interesting, after Andy left EC, universally (AFAIK) the EC folks wished Andy and Tatum well, and were happy to support his sucess there. Now, we have Tatum people discovering SETXSports and posting basketballs and predicting 56-12 blowouts or whatever.

I don't have a clue how this game will actually go, but I would not stoop to those levels on a Tatum area board, and I doubt anyone from EC would either. Oh well. Like I said, rant on if y'all must.

Oh. Well im not too worried about stats... Some of thoose may just be aginst a fairly bad team, and they built up then.. but then again it could just really show how good they are.

Tatum's number one problem is they play down, when playing against teams hat ar not as good.  They have payed there best ball when they though that they had too.  Won all of here pre-seaon against good 3-A school with te exception of Gilmer.  Gilmer game they actually played k, but gave up big plays on 3rd and th and long.  Also failed to get in endzone 3 times in the redzone.

East Chambers will play hard disciplined ball.  Tatum better come out and play hard, or they will be the ones headed home to play basketball.  I do not believe anyone from Tatum thinks that EC will be a push over.  Sorry I let someone from Kirbyville get under my skin.

Cocky and confident can sometimes get confused.  Most of the Tatum fans on here know what our team is capable of, but we also know that they can play down and give it away.  Like I have stated, if they play 4 full quarters, it will be a long night for EC.  If they let them hang around or jump ahead and quit, then Tatum will have not achieved hat they are capable of doing.

Hope both teams and fans have a safe trip and may the best team win.

Stop him and their done. Stop'em won't be easy. Tatum defense has given up alot of points. Game will be decided on the field and talk is cheap.

Big difference between SE Texas football and NE Texas football.  If Tatum plays for four quarters, then EC does not stand a chance.  But if Tatum decides to not play the second half like they did against Yoe, then it could be a close game.
Just what I was thinking.... totally different NE to SE.. NE being better... you guys down in SE Texas need to get out a little more.....

for a 2A team... Tatum has tremendous athletes.....and a good scheme to boot.....Not to mention they have been there and done that in the last several years...
