I dare png or Nederland to play each other for homecoming. Mid county would be in an uproar.
Nah, you don't want us to blow up. Half the nation's refining capacity would be gone and we'd take the rest of the Golden Triangle with us. ;D

We were Vidors homecoming last year...Loved the show, very entertaining! They will be ours this year!
Vidor has the best homecoming show in the state. We need to keep them for homecoming.

Man the state of texas would blow up if UT scheduled a&m for homecoming. It's something you just don't do. Just like last year when WB scheduled Memorial.  ;)
Shows what you know. First of all neither schools really have a homecoming, but when they do play each other, it's considered the homecoming game for the home team.

For high schools these days, the decision for when homecoming will be is based on the date on the calender, not who the opponent will be. The days of the high school coach determining who the opponent and when homecoming will be is long gone.

As for PNG and Nederland, it's just shows intelligence that neither school as their homecoming with that game. It sells out anyways. Gives them an opportunity to sell the home side out for another game.
Like that doesn't happen for the other games at PN-G anyways. ;D

Vidors gonna get butch slapped when they come back to " Da Butch " .
In looking at the standings, they don't need your respect.
Now, that's just wrong!  ;D ;D

A few years ago Bridge City played WOS on BC homecoming.  At the halftime the score was "about"  WOS 50 AND  BC 0.  BC  prolonged the half time by introducing everyone on their side the bleachers. I think they just did not want to put their team back on the field.  The halftime lasted 1 hr. and 30 minutes. BC fans were laughing at us. I was furious. That was the "good old days" for WOS.

No elaboration?  ;D ;D
I highlighted it.

How many Vidor fans will come to watch them play Central on their homecoming? Over under 200

I will speak about it come Tuesday night at the Depot.

BTW, who is Central's homecoming opponent?
Vidor.
HOW CAN CENTRAL DISRESPECT A TEAM LIKE VIDOR BY MAKING THEN YOUR HOMECOMING OPPONENT?!!!!!

Explain Soulja?
No.  Because one of the more epic games between Vidor and Central took place on Vidor's homecomming.  So, Central probably felt they needed to return the favor.  You know, You scratch my back and i'll scratch yours.  8) 8)

Every time I think about this I laugh till i cry - true story - there was this team (local) that had not been good for several years so needless to say they played a lot of homecoming games. Kid comes up to the coach in front of everyone and says "Hey coach is our homecoming at home this year?"  ;D ;D ;D

Having graduated at a time when we played eight homecomings a year, I would say homecoming is dictated by who your playing within your district. We have a great band and we were an easy victory. Actually, I think it's dictated by the time of year, at least on Vidor's part. We put on such an elaborate show with the parade and all, it takes a little more planning than just saying "we're playing _____" on the schedule and that would be a good time for it. I consider Central our rival. Epic games with great sportsmanship and comradery. Central scheduling us for their homecoming is fine with me; we'll bring the Band of Bands, 5000 fans, and a heck of a good football team. Should be worth double the price of admittance.....

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
