You betcha.
Like my old coach use to say winning is not everything... but it is the most important thing.
Or play for the fun of it but only winning is fun. Just kidding I hope all kids get more out of playing football then X's and O's.  As a parent and coach I hope to show that.

2011 NYFA PINK OUT IS APPROACHING!!
ALL MONEY FOR SPONSORSHIPS AND T-SHIRTS IS DUE TO YOUR TEAM MOM NO LATER THAN MONDAY SEPTEMBER 26!!

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, our Junior Bulldogs will be hosting our 2nd Annual Pink Out game day at our game fields for all of our home games on Saturday October 8, 2011.

The Pink Out was a great success last year and our teams will battle it out again to see who can raise the most money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation by gathering Pink Out sponsorships that will be listed on the back of our official Pink... Out t-shirts! T-shirt orders and sponsorships will be taken from Monday September 19 to Monday September 26! The team that collects the most donations for sponsorships will be given $200.00 toward their end of season party by the NYFA Board!!

100% of the proceeds for sponsorships will be directly donated to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure Foundation on behalf of NYFA! T-shirts are $15.00 each (add 1.00 for each X over 2X) and sponsorships are $20.00 each. Sponsorships can be your name, your business name, or you may honor a loved one who has battled, survived, or lost their fight for breast cancer. T-shirt artwork will be posted in the next few days!

Our goal is to donate $1,000.00 on behalf of our Junior Bulldogs in an effort to help support breast cancer research! We encourage all players, coaches and fans to participate by bringing their pink! Pink clothing, pink accessories, and pink creativity are encouraged by the Board, and all participants and their families can place their vote for the best Pink Out team by paying $1.00 per vote (which will also be donated) at the game fields October 8. The team that wins the most votes this day will be given $100.00 from the NYFA Board toward their end of season party. All teams are eligible to win both contests!!

Let's come together as a community and raise money for this wonderful cause!! All participants last year had a blast and raised a lot of money and this year we are looking for it to be bigger and better!! Even if you are unable to attend, please share our event with all of your friends!!

Detect, Fight, WIN!!!

To order a T-shirt or to make a donation please download the forms below and return it to one of our teams, or at our game fields Saturday September 24 at the concession stand between 8am and 6pm!! Thanks for your support!!

    • To clarify, Dems love wars. They rage daily in the bluest of blue inner citicis. Chicago had 39 shootings over the weekend, 9 dead. Warzone. Baltimore, Memphis, Detroit, etc. I am sure was just as bloody. The blue body count rises daily. I am sure the blue defunding of police and releasing murders without any bail have nothing to do with it. Right?
    • Will probably be released by the Democrats come September.  Sound familiar?
    • Sure.  You reassign an employee and they leave voluntarily instead of being fired and being open to litigation.  The outcome is the same, but you are making my point.  The superintendent and AD and principal are all empowered to make personnel decisions.  Instead of accepting the decision made, you talk about lawyering up, no one else was reprimanded, railroad job.  I am old enough to remember when high school sports taught life lessons...accountability being chief among them.
    • I know absolutely nothing about the situation, but I do know head coaches of sports other than the AD have actual teaching assignments, and I know from my wife having worked in the sped department of multiple schools that it’s not uncommon at all for coaches to shirk those duties.  It could very well be that this was the case at BC.  Or not, I don’t know.  Just bringing this up to point out the fact that, although many coaches only want to worry about coaching, they generally have several other responsibilities at the school.  some of them neglect or ignore these duties entirely.  If he’s been written up for other issues before, it’s a dumb argument to say “he was punished for this and others were not”.  If he had a pile of write ups in his file and they did not then it makes sense that the punishments were different.
