This is gonna be a great game. Ozen's got there star QB back and Central is looking to make .500 on there schedule. My prediction is a battle between QB's. Who comes out in front? Idk.

I was actually waiting untill next week to post on this matter since we all have bye weeks, but since you guys have brought it up, here we go:

First of all, the name of the thread should be Central vs. Ozen (since Ozen is the Home team this time, for whatever that's worth).

This could be a classic Soul Bowl matchup here.  Ozen gets their kid dynamite back in Green with other players that should be healthy.  Central have proved that their running attack have picked up with the 2 headed RB combo of Collier/Carter showing promise to take the pressure off of Mitchell.  Ozen will try to attack our young secondary early and often.  Central will try and get their passing attack going as they are due for a breakout game in the air.I think the ex factor will be line play.  Central's D and O lines have clearly dominated the opposition since the memorial game, and I expect them to do the same in this game.  it will be a shootout.

Central - 41

Ozen - 37

Even with Ozen getting all their players back and fully healthy, they'll be rusty coming out on the field for the first time.... Should be a fun battle of the quarterbacks with Mitchell and Green....

This is the kind of game Ozen needs to win if they want to be considered a true contender for a playoff spot.... Central needs to win this game to get a jump start on a playoff spot.... Lots on the line in this one, not to mention bragging rights.....

Jags all the way!!! Playing 2 (5A) tough teams (week 0 & week 1) and a great contender (week 2), the Jags are ready.

I wouldn't say Galveston Ball is a great contender. They are 0-3 and coming off a 1-8 season from last year.

the winner of the game will be the team who can put aside the cross town rival hype and emotions and make the less mistakes. should be a great game since both teams have d1 qbs. the team that plays 48 mins. will win in the past that edge has belonged to the jags just hope the panthers come to play in the second half this year and finally seal the deal.

Ozen played the same 2 teams also. Lots of film to prep with for both teams.

You have all of last year too know what Green is capale of duh!!! Oh and just look at the what the enterprise had to say about last weekenn 66-6. 4 T.D.'s ENOUGH said
[/quote]Can't base it off of last year.  This year, there are probably different plays ran.  Ozen probably have different tendencies.  And most importantly, Green is probably a whole lot better than he was last year.  Same as Mitchell.  He's a year more advanced.  This could be interesting.  I still say we win by a score in a high scoring one.

I think it will be high scoring, probably close to that 35-31 score you posted BrenhamFan, but I'm not ready to make my pick yet lol.... May not, I'll be broadcasting the game....

But I will say that I think this game will be an outstanding one if both teams show up ready to play!!!

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
