The winner will be how many teams our district sends to the 2nd round of the playoffs.  That's a place that we (20-4a) is very accustomed to.  ;D
My predictions...
4A-D1
(1) Central vs (4) C. E. King...Central
(2) Nederland vs (3) Crosby...Nederland

4A-D2
(3) PN-G vs (2) Barbers Hill...PN-G
(4) Livingston vs (1) Dayton...Dayton

20-4A wins the battle 3-1

IMO, I'm not so sure that Dayton would beat Livingston this year. Dayton beat Livingston 28-24 last year in the first round and Livingston is returning 17 starters. 8 on O, 9 on D. That includes their entire backfield... It would be a very interesting match up. Crosby beat PNG, but I think any 3 of the other playoff teams from 20-4A would beat them this year. I think that Crosby straight out-athleted PNG (I also think PNG's run defense isn't too strong this year)... Not the case with Central, Livingston, or Nederland (if those are the other 3 for 20-4A).

I think BH will most likely lose in the first round along with whoever the other playoff team from 19-4a is, with Dayton getting the first round W because they won't play Livingston (I think they will win the district).

20-4A gets the edge... Still way too early to tell, just what I think.

Livngston is hands down the best team in either district.  After that Nederland is probably the only team that has a chance at beating BH or Dayton without a bunch of turnovers happening.  I see it like this:

Livingston (speed)
Dayton (offensive power)
BH (defense and clock control)
Nederland (all around coaching)
Crosby (by default)
PNG (offesive coaching and a gay indian)
LCM (Offense)
GCM (heart)
Vidor (heart)

WOW!  No respect for us (Central).  How about you call your coach and tell him when they do district realignments next year to put Central on the schedule and you'll can have the first one at home.  If we happen to meet in the playoffs this year, we will change your perspective.  I'll be looking for your post at the end of the regular season.

Oh yea, they were undefeated.  Thats what happens when you play a soft non-district schedule and your district is weak.  You'll were not battle tested.  We didn't even win our district that year.

Nederland over Crosby... Recent playoffs tend to contradict this. and what does By Default mean?

The best thing that could happen for Barbers Hill would be to meet PNG in the playoffs. After we win we can put aside this talk of which district is best. Having said that to stir the ndn blood, I believe 204A has mo betta teams than 194A but our top 3 look pretty good so far. The Nederland game will tell all of us a lot.

Was it the offensive coaching or the "gay" indian that has sent you home in the first round of the playoffs for the last two years in a row???  Just curious.

Nederland has a much better all around team this year and don't forget it took a trick play to beat us. And if we do play the kittens in the playoffs this year, they will have to come play at the Dog Pound since we played at your house last year.

Gonna take more than that to stir this NDN. I do agree about the top 3 in 19-4A being tough , much tougher than past years. Top to bottom 20-4A is better in my opinion as well. I am looking forward to the Nederland/ BH game as well. Like I said in another post I believe it will be the game to be at this week.

I'm so gonna laugh when Nederland DESTROYS BH this week. It sure is gonna 19-4A who's boss. And the final nail in the coffin is when Livingston shows Dayton what a real team plays like.

    • I will never understand why someone cares what decisions a family makes regarding their own child? Maybe Joe Burrow learns great life lessons from burning up all his eligibility sitting behind Justin Fields at Ohio State but I’m sure him and his family feel like they made the right decision by transferring to LSU, becoming the #1 pick and now being the highest paid QB in NFL history. Same for Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hurts at their first stops.    I think it was more beneficial for Reggie Branch to transfer to Crosby and end up having an opportunity to play for a state title versus staying at GCM and learning life lessons while he loses and probably doesn’t go D1 because his team is a perennial loser. If Robinson throws for 2k yards this year it’s going to be a lot better for his recruitment purposes than sitting on the bench at BH, not to mention he’s going to get significant looks because of the kids he’s on the team with and the offers/commitments they’ve already made. He’s not being taught to run from competition, he’s being taught to gamble on himself just like all those other guys I mentioned did.

    • Every Yuppie wants one.  Give me a V-8 with loud pipes, and they can have their electric vehicles.  Was working a major incident one day and we had a road blocked off.  Police vehicles with lights going and a kid pulls up in a Tesla.  He - let me stress that HE is sobbing uncontrollably because he is at 5% battery life and HAS to go down the road we have blocked to get to a charging station.  He pulled over and literally threw a temper tantrum because we would not let him through.
    • Have you noticed that it's always the libs that bring up race?  For a long time now whenever a lib is losing an argument or have nothing else to say they bring up racism.  Or something silly like institutional racism.  LOL!
