I was in attendance that night in the Astrodome. LaMarque was the real deal that year. Dayton had Dakari P as well, and a good offense.

Is that an official location and time? Or are we still not sure?

Welcome to all the new Dayton posters. You can definitely tell it's the third round.  ;D

I'm not a fair weather fan.  I've been out of state for months with work and just got to start going to the games again. :)

Go Broncos!

Welcome back! I didn't mean it that way. Just meant the deeper we go the more fans turn out, here and at the games. The more the merrier I say.

No, it is official. Galena Park at 7pm Saturday November 27th

Earlier that day, a game will be played there at 1pm (Pasadena Memorial vs. Houston Memorial)

You can just make a day out of it, nothing like highschool playoffs in Texas.

Just hope it's a night game this time! I'd hate to choose between my family Thanksgiving get together and the Broncos. My family wouldn't like me.  ;)

We met up with LaMarque in the 98 season at the Astrodome.  Dayton went to the third round that year undefeated, and I believe lost by 6.  I'm a class of 99'er and it feels like yesterday!

I hope when im older ill remember my playing days like it was yesterday.lol

Well is it Sat at 7 in Galena Park or not?  I cant believe that LaMarque would agree to that. That would be almost like a Dayton home game. I was expecting Pasadena but GP sounds good to me. Seems like the stadium only holds about 8 or 9 thousand but I dont think it was totally packed last time we played Livingston there. Should be enough room and Bronco "D" should wear there PT Flyers..

tons of speed and athletes for LaMarque. I believe this will be the best team we've faced this year.

That was a GREAT GAME in the DOME.

Too bad La Marque fans, you don't beat the Broncos twice in a row.  Payback for the Dome.  Dayton Broncos will be victorious.

Coaches will be meeting Sunday morning to discuss the time and location but right now it sounds like the agreement was 7 P.M. at Galena Park but we will have an official announcement tommorow sometime!!
[/quote] My son plays in the band, and they were told last night by Mrs Woods that the game was Saturday @ 7 GP. *shrugs*

got to go with da broncos, watched the game against livingston and they pulled it out in the last minute. they took the lions for granted and it went down to fourth and long to get the td and the win. this is the playoffs dont take anyone for granted or you will be at home in the cheap seats! Good luck i would love to see the indians and the broncos in the quarter finals would be a dandy. we have a tough task next week against Manvel they are playing very good ball from what i am hearing but maybe we will pull another rabbit out of our hats this next week. hope to see yall in two weeks, going to the third round when everyone counted us out, this is a good feeling being underdogs week in week out. nice to know that everyone said their was no defense in 20-4a well maybe the offense there was just that much better if anyone knows its the broncos fans they were tested all four quarters last week  : - }

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
