Remaining games

LCM -  Livingston, @ Nederland

Livingston-  @ LCM, Vidor

Lumberton- @ Central, Ozen

Nederland-  @ Ozen,  LCM

PNG- @ Vidor, Central

Vidor-  PNG, @ Livingston

After looking at that, it looks like the playoffs have started now for all 6 of those teams.  If my calculations are right, Livingston, LC-M and PN-G only need 1 win to clinch while the others need 2.

They wouldn't clinch with 1 win.  It would guarantee at least a tie.  Tie breakers would come into play if the others won out.

Head to head, Point differential etc.  My head hurts just thinking about it.

Yep PhatMack you are right.  Look at that log jam that could happen.

Nederland is actually in pretty good shape if they finish in that specific 4-3 log jam with LCM/Livingston/PNG, they'd be + in the tiebreaker points.  They're +2 now, and if they end up 4-3 they'd have to beat LCM which would be additional points.

This scenario would put Nederland and Livingston in, PNG would be in a bind since they are done with these teams and sit at -9.  Last spot would come down to whether LCM ended up worse than -9 after they finish beating Livingston and losing to Nederland.  Lotsa football to be played, but this is a possible scenario.

This playoff race looks as though it will come down to points.  That's why Nederland went for the late touchdown last night, when they could have kneeled it with 1 min left.  These next 2 games you have to win by as many as possible( or at least 16) to be in good shape for the tie breaker.

According to enrollment numbers, remaining schedule, current standings and of course my pickem's (had to throw that in there since I'm leading, lol)...

19-4A D1 #1 seed Crosby vs 20-4A D1 #2 seed Nederland/PN-G (I feel Nederland wins there next 2 and gets in but if they don't and PN-G wins one or both games, they will play here)
19-4A D1 #2 seed Galena Park vs 20-4A D1 #1 seed Beaumont Central (this game is all but set in stone)

19-4A D2 #1 seed Dayton vs 20-4A D2 #2 seed Livingston/LC-M/PN-G (good to be in the playoffs, but this is the worst case scenerio)
19-4A D2 #2 seed Barbers Hill vs 20-4A D2 #1 seed Livingston/LC-M/PN-G (more than likely, this is reserved for the winner of this Fridays game between Livingston/LC-M)

This is just a guess going off of stats and factual information, the games must still be played so good luck to all that are in the running.
