I wouldn't say Ned can't. Livingstons defense is no better than ours. We just traded TD's with them, and they stopped us us once where as we did not stop them once.I say they stopped us, we actually just called the wrong plays (hindsight).  On 2nd and 1 we tried a deep pass then on 3rd and 1 we tried a quick screen and was stopped behind the line. All this when Bertrand was getting 6 to 7 yards a carry. Not questioning Coach Faircloth, because had the deep pass worked and we score then it would have been brilliant. Even though we put up over 500 yds of offense against Nederland i still feel they have a little better defense than Livingston. Livingston has a big powerful line with some great backs I just think Nederland has a chance to stack up front and stop them where as we couldn't.Also, this is a different team tham the one that lost to Vidor(Sonnier is back).....Should be a good game and could go either way, I just wouldn't be surprised if Nederland takes it.

Livingston's run defense is ok. Their pass defense is close to non existent. Nederland should take advantage of this early and often. Because Livingston's Offense is good. They don't turn the ball over. Offensive line is big and mean.  And all their backs are good with home run hitter speed.  The big back Mayes averages 8 YPC and is a load.  The X factor will be if you let their QB roam free.  If so, it will be a long night. He has blazing speed.  He is what makes this team More dangerous than Vidor's last year offense...

Nederland defense will have to really improve to slow Livingston,  they struggled with Vidor's Slot-T offense and the Lions version is better this year.  I don't think they they can trade scores with them, but 'Dogs passing attack may very well keep them close and in the game.
Playing on the road at Livingston is another factor.
this game's outcome will answer a lot of questions about both teams playoff chances.

You want facts???? You are probably still mad because all the jocks you had to sniff back in school. Thats probably as close as you got being an athlete. It is really obvious you cannot look at the big picture and understanding coaching and playing the game.

Wow, newbie, you ask me if I want facts then you do not give me any.  ???  ???
Sniff jocks?!  That's funny!  You should seek out a comedy forum and leave the serious discussion to the grown-ups!  LOL!!!    ;D    ::)

Nederland played in Livingston last year and performed well.  Offensively, Livingston appears to have an aggresive running attack with very little passing.  Hopefully the 'Dogs will have a good offensive game plan for moving the ball and keeping Livingston's offense off the field.  Defensively, play to stop the run and make them beat you by throwing it!

After seeing both teams, no way Livingston loses this one at home. Livingston has that coach/announcer in the press box!  ;D  Nederland will make them work for it, but I dont see them stopping the Livingston running game. I will have to give credit to Nederland for much improvement each week, but I dont see them as fired up for this game as they were last week. It ought to be a good game. Good luck to both teams, y'all play hard and dont get hurt!

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
